Top 10 trending phones of week 11

George, 20 March, 2016

A funny week for our Top 10 trending chart, indeed. Not much in terms of new entries (the iPhone 5s marks a return, last here in week 6), but the list has been seriously reordered.

Bottom to top, the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) has slipped two spots into 10th, keeping big bro A7 (2016) out. Not that it was really that close of a fight, looking at the numbers. It's the iPhone 5s we already mentioned that occupies 9th, with more than 30% more hits than the current iPhone 6s.

The Lenovo Vibe K4 Note is in 8th, and it's our latest review subject - make sure you check that out if you've missed it on the homepage. The Snapdragon-powered Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has plummeted to 7th from its podium position last week, and in 6th we have the Galaxy J5. The Xiaomi Mi5 has crawled a single spot up into 5th, but hasn't managed to nudge the Galaxy J7 out of its 4th position.

It's the Galaxy S7 edge that is the biggest winner this week, making it to the Top 3 from its 7th spot last week. Another Redmi Note 3, the Mediatek flavor, is the runner-up, and if the two closely related Chinese phablets gang up the Galaxy S7, they have enough hits to dethrone it. Only it doesn't work that way, and Samsung's latest, and (second) greatest is in the top spot, third week in a row.
