Jay, 28 Jul 2011it says resistance to splash not to water, there's a differ... moreIn other pages i've seen this phone rated IPX5 or IPX8, that means dust protection not certified and protection for water jets (IPX5) or protection against inmersion beyond 1m (IPX8), anyway IPX5 it's much better than most phones offer

too bad, by old standards this 'great' phone would not get out of Japan...
Yes it has at least a meter of depth of water resistance ability...
This is the marriage of a Western centric OS with Japanese phone design...
13 mpx camera is currently the highest to be produced by a major electronics producer at an affordable price

with a 13 mpx camera it needs a bigger sensor and a xenon flash like the nokia n8, or els it will just be a crappy camera phone.....
