Vertu launch first touch device - the new Constellation

19 October, 2011

Vertu have just launched the Constellation and Constellation Precious - two very high-class, luxurious top of the line executive devices, which just happen to be Vertu's first go at touchscreen. There's no word on pricing or actual availability just yet but we're guessing it will be a very steep offering.

The Vertu Constellation

The Vertu Constellation comes in four distinct trims - one with a Satin Stainless steel, sapphire screen, brown leather; a one with Polished Stainless steel, sapphire screen and black leather; there's the Polished Stainless steel, sapphire screen and pink leather, and finally the Polished Stainless steel, sapphire screen, black alligator skin.

If you think that selection isn't bling enough for your taste you could opt for the uber-glamorous Constellation Precious, which comes in three varieties - a Polished Stainless steel, sapphire screen, diamond trim and black alligator skin; the Polished Stainless steel, sapphire screen, diamond trim and white alligator skin, and finally the one offering Black PVD stainless steel, red gold, sapphire screen and black leather.

Specs-wise the Vertu Constellation (in all of its celebrity-grade modifications) offers a 3.5-incher AMOLED display with an nHD (360x640) resolution and multi-touch, an 8 MP EDoF (Extended Depth Of Focus) camera with a twin Heptagon flash, 32GB of in-built storage and more. We feel there's a Nokia C7 lurking around in the shadows.

Also preloaded is access to exclusive Vertu services such as Vertu Concierge, Vertu Concierge Live, Vertu Club Access, Vertu Select, Vertu City Brief and Vertu.Me. Satellite navigation with pre-installed maps is also present.

We've heard of this phone before and it looks like the previous information was on the right track.

We'll be on the lookout as to when to expect these gems and will update as soon as we hear something on pricing.

Judging from Tizen Takeover's comment mine was deleted... over what? Me complimenting on Vertu's taste or criticizing the haters of Vertu's phones? I don't see any reason why my comment should be deleted, but let me repeat myself: These phones are t...
