vivo V29 Pro in for review
The vivo V29 Pro is official and though it looks nearly identical to the V29, it packs a few nice upgrades. But before we test all of those let's do a quick unboxing.
The phone ships with a cable, a case, and an 80W charger. Not a bad haul for a mid-ranger.
The Pro looks identical to the V29 from the back, down to the placement of the camera lenses. But where the vanilla packs a 2MP depth sensor, the Pro adds a 2x 50mm zoom camera aimed at portraiture.
The other key improvement is the Dimensity 8200 chip - it's a 4nm unit with superior graphics power to the 6nm Snapdragon 778G inside the V29.
Upfront there are no changes - the V29 Pro has a lovely 6.78-inch 120Hz AMOLED with a 1260x2800px resolution and a 1,300 nits peak brightness. An excellent panel all around.
The 2x camera reports itself as a 49mm unit, making it the perfect focal length for portraits of people and pets, and a great focal length for most other everyday scenes, really.
Used in tandem with the V29 Pro's Aura Light adjustable LED, you could snap some interesting portraits in lower light conditions.
We snapped a couple of impromptu shots at the office to give you an idea of what to expect. Keep in mind that each is over 7MB in size, which is a bit ridiculous. We'll dig deeper in our full review.

Imagine no Stereo speakers on a $500 phone. That's one of the most essential & basic feature in a smartphone. This is the feature they didn't removed, I think they forgot to add in their V/S series line up 🤔 Motorola G13 = Stereo S...
