MIUI seems to have some serious restrictions (i.e. SSL certificates) that is preventing people from accessing Over-18 sites using a third-party browser, your downloaded podcasts gets deleted after a Security scan (a prevalent issue that has not been fixed for years now) and Google One VPN simply cannot connect. These are deal breakers for me and I think I am going back to a trusted brand in my own experience...OnePlus.

Photos are vivid and colorful. Videos are really smooth.

I like this phone but had to stop using it. It blocks some calls I want, especially the lobby buzzer system. Visitors cannot call me to be let in as this number is blocked by the phone. It is not in my blocked caller list. Some calls go straight to voicemail without ringing on my phone. Don't know how to fix it.

With both phones sharing the same SoC (Snapdragon 778G 5G) and literary almost the same specs apart from the selfie cam and battery capacity which phone would you guys choose for its main cameras and selfie camera in terms of overall photos quality (natural-looking and not too contrasty), white balance, video stabilisation, low light, skin tones, less noise when zooming or cropping and dynamic range...the Poco X5 Pro or the Xiaomi 12 Lite?

I had the Mi 11 Lite 5G and it was an amazing device, light and fast. I ended up switching it for the Poco F3 due to better speakers, but the Mi11 Lite then went to my mum and she loves it.
