I am switching from S23U because everything related to the camera is so much better on Xiaomi. I have been testing both side by side for a week and how S23U performs is just sad. Especially in the RAWs department.

Every focal length has to be adjusted seprately. Main lens too dark, +1EV necessary. Wide angle or tele should be EV 0. Very irritatating!
Phone always reverts to "normal" camera mode. Leica vibrant or neutral have to be chosen each time. But Normal is the best anyway for colours and contrast.
Main camera often not super sharp (right side) compared to pixel 8 pro.
Tele images over-sharpened & unnatural.

I bought mine in Germany. And let me say that every newly released phone including Apple and Samsung have their initial teething problems which are usually sorted out after a few updates. I don't understand all these comments here. Don't believe everything you read, especially from people who don`t have or can't afford this camera phone. There is also the usual smear campaign going on.
I don’t experience any fogging. I simply love this camera phone. It makes wonderful pictures and I think it deserves more than the 4.5 stars from gsmarena. I missed a couple of things in this review. For example the fast shot which was designed for street photography where you can switch between 23, 28, 35, 50, 85 and 135mm. Leica tuned the camera very well with pictures looking natural like real cameras. I also heard that a big update will come soon.

compare with other flagship this battery performance phone is terrible. Lifespan is too short if compare with spend for this overprice.

Slow AF on main camera, terrible portraits, bad video stabilization back and front cameras, very bad mic for wind ... To expensive phone, it' more like 800-900€ phone.

If you pay more than 1200 euros for this handset and no accessories, that's okay... but know you're getting a bad deal.

Presented 1month ago at MWC and nothing since, no testing of the global version in France or Europe.
Received by French customers on March 16, therefore for 6 days and no test published by Youtubers and test sites.
Entered testing at GSMARENA for 7 days and still no review...
Still waiting for results from DXO for over a week...
What's going on with this smartphone?
Does it have a global defect so huge that no test can be published?
Unheard of to date for the release of a flagship...

I have this phone for 3 days now and I was shocked it is comfortable to handle,very sleek on the hand. But I am bothered by 2 issues, 1. Main camera fog after few take of pictures outside, the phone becomes extremely hot and battery drain very fast using the camera and secondly the battery is not that great. It drains really fast. I like the phone and traded my pixel 8 pro for it but I might return it to Xiaomi now
