I have this phone from october, 2018. It still works good, battery life is lower than it was 5 years ago but it still can make 2 days for business purpose (calls, e-mails etc). I recently bought xiaomi note 11s and xiaomi note 12 for my daughters and I can see a large (huge) improvement from Mi 2 lite to those two phones.

This has been my daily phone from 2018 till 2023, 5 yeats of every day use and abuse, and I never ever had to factory reset it, it's still running with the original system it came with... They don't make them like this anymore

It is one of the best of it's time. What I love most about it is its compact size, light weight, metal body and decent battery and camera. Considering it is a 5 year old phone it is still working like a beast.
I have upgraded it's OS to Android 13 via LineageOS 20. It is not very difficult to do. You need to search xda forums for the steps. It is working wonderfuly fast with LineageOS 20 (Android 13) with better speed and battery time than that with Android 10 or 11. Did I mention google camera works really well with this. I am still looking for a phone with open boot loader with this size and price bracket with so much to customize. It is a beast to say the least.

Lasted me since 2019-2023, unfortunately my diy cable killed the battery lol. Worked really well, ok camera and a good SoC. I had a 3gb 32gb variant. I just don't like that 1.3gb (ram) is being used by the OS.
Anyone knows how I can turn this phone into a TV box. I'll power it with a 5V USB with something to reduce the voltage into 3.85-4.4v. Hopefully I won't kill it lol.

I'm glad I made this purchase 4 years ago.
