My Note 12 4G just got the HyperOS update and has no issues whatsoever. Actually the system feels a little lighter on the resources. The only thing I could complain about is that when I activate VPN, the small icon doesn't show up on the top bar anymore. But hey! I'm not complaining. On the contrary, I am intrigued by the low retail price of this phone, as it feels much better than "entry level".

I am going to give my personal opinion about the equipment, I have had it for half a year now, the camera section is its low point but it is decent,
The system (MIUI) would say that it is not bad, that is to say, bugs but nothing serious. Your processor is more than decent, a 5/10. Other points would be its UFS 2.2 memory and its 33W load.
In general, a 5/10 device, a good price and for everyday use, including somewhat heavy games, is recommended.

The looks of os is very good, icons, presentation...., however it is worse then miui 14....
The phone lags while scrolling, phone working is slow compared to miui14 like loading of apps and exiting an app, RAM management is very very bad, if you connect with usb cable to pc it will disconnect the connection automatically after 10 sec. Then again you have to establish the connection.
Miui 14 is much much better...

Jihan, 28 Jan 2024How was the speaker????The mono speaker's sound on the Redmi Note 12 is decent and isn't a deal breaker at all. Besides, people use earphones and earbuds nowadays more often than relying on the built-in speakers.

Good phone for the price. Camera is rubbish, that's the only drawback but at this price point I didn't expect much. I have the 8/256GB variant and I'm coming from a Samsung Galaxy A52S

raiden1, 23 Jan 2024how to uninstall bloat ware?Just go to settings and apps, uninstall the ones you can do.
Some apps can't be uninstalled, you will see the option to disable them.
At the end some apps can't be deleted or disabled, you can clear all of their data.
You can also disable the notifications of any app and also disable their data usage if they are getting annoying.

Anybody who is worrying about the Hyper OS and android 14 update, don't worry at all. It works totally fine after update.
I have 8 GB ram and 128 GB storage variant, I found no complains after updating, things are fine... ✨

Bought this phone some weeks ago, as every device has pros and cons. Redmi note 12 4G has the pros I noticed:
- Display is very good
- Charging is super fast
- 120 Hz is smooth
- UFS 2.2
- Side mounted fingerprint works very good
- Snapdragon 685 gaming performance excluding PUBG mobile is good, I played call of duty mobile and other games, they ran very well.
In PUBG mobile it is not bad but kind of okay
The cons I noticed:
- Camera is decent but could be better
- UI is decent, could be better
Overall a good phone if you are not a big camera user in budget phones category.

I updated to hyper os 1 day ago and its very smooth but i dont like 4 things
1. Gesture animation bugs out and sometimes unresponsive
2. I dont like new control center
3.they removed in video tool box the ability to listen to videos with screen off
4. The 50mp mode in camera app is bugged and doesn't work

Updated to HyperOS. No surprise. It is actually MIUI 14.5 nothing changed. Remained boring MIUI. Xiaomi failed3....
