Sony Xperia Z5 tipped to launch in September

05 July, 2015

Just over a week after the Sony Xperia Z3+ - which is the international version of the Xperia Z4 available in Japan - started rolling out globally, rumours are doing rounds that the company's next flagship, the Xperia Z5, will be unveiled in Japan in September this year.

Specs-wise, the device is said to be powered by the yet-to-be-released Snapdragon 820 SoC. It is expected to come with 4GB RAM, pack in a 4,500mAh battery, and feature a fingerprint recognition system. In terms of camera, the handset is rumoured to sport a 21MP Sony Exmor RS IMX230 CMOS sensor, with 4K video recording support and HDR capabilities.

Along with the Xperia Z5, Sony is also said to be planning to launch the Xperia Z5 Compact and the Xperia Z5 Ultra. Needless to say, none of this has been officially confirmed by the company. So, take it with a pinch of salt.
