I'm surprised how many people just don't get the purpose of the e-ink screen :) I agree that it is overpriced though, it would be worth to buy with better CPU and GPU, or with the leaked prices ($350-$400 for 64GB model) but I don't think it will do well with this prices.

I have and love my Yotaphone 2. But it was way overpriced for a phone with previous years specs (the Snapdragon 810 had been out for a while... I think the 815 was coming out or had just come out - but the Y2 was released with the 801). The price back then was competing with Galaxy series with anything but flagship specs.
This time we have an upper mid range 18 month old processor. This places it firmly among the aging mid range devices like the Lenovo P2. So, we should see a price point that is similar or close... but we don't. The Lenovo P2 is about $200. This is about $550.
I have an idea: buy to Lenovo P2's, stick them back to back ($1 glue) and save yourself $49 for a dual screen phone!
