ZOPO teases new Speed 8 flagship unveiling at MWC 2016

Victor, 13 February, 2016

In case you were wondering, no, there is no typo in the title, it is ZOPO, not the much better know Oppo brand. As far as Chinese manufacturers go, ZOPO is definitely no household name, but the relatively small company has brought us some interesting offers in the past and just like the ZOPO TOUCH that made its debut ant MWC 2015, the new Speed 8 handset planned for this year deserves a mention.

Today ZOPO send out its invitation to the unveiling of their new flagship, which will take place at the Barcelona venue on February 24 at 10:30AM. As evident by the poster, it will be hosted by MotoGP World Champion Jorge Lorenzo, if that just happens to spike your interest in any way.

Other than that, no new info has been shared about the Speed 8 and its specs, but we already have a pretty good idea what to expect, based on previous rumors. The handset is going to employ Mediatek's powerful Helio X20 SoC, actually making it one of the first devices on the market to experiment with the deca-core setup. Other alleged specs include 4GB of RAM, a 2K display and a fingerprint reader, mounted on the back.
