The chinese version is different from the uk one.
The pc won't see it as a ZTE Blade or Orange SF...
As to your issue with CMR, you are booting up the phone with the volume UP button held?, for the installation, then when you want to copy the update.zip onto the SD card, reboot with the volume DOWN button held, as the screen/buttons are upside down....

Insert any other sim card than the Orange one and the unlocking screen will appear. Type in the unlocking code and the phone will be unlocked. Then you can access Android Market.

ZTE U X850 is in fact ZTE X850 or ZTE racer ZTE U X850 is error in writing of gsm arena . Because there is only one mobile phone ZTE X850 that is codnamed Racer for a Three network .
In other words this isn't that phone.
This is ZTE Blade or for Orange network in UK San Francisco.

suga, 17 Aug 2010is it phone upgradable into latest android version....Until now I haven't found a way to update it. But I hope it is possible to do it via SDK Developer Kit.
Anyway... the Android 2.1 on it is pretty censured by ZTE you dont`t have access to Android Market for example but can download .apk files and install Apps manually.

ZTE X850 and bad copy of the model name gave u 2 mobile phones with identical specifications that are the same. ZTE U X850 is in fact ZTE X850

is this the zte racer? if it is then its already out in the uk for £109 on the three network. its one of the cheapest and simplest to use android phones out so if your looking for a cheap android phone with a basic camera and free windows live messenger and skype-to-skype calls then i reccomend you buy this handset!

ZET has to pull up in design and makes as there are many new brands coming out in the market but this handset looks like a new begining of ZTE

Looks like a fairly reasonable handset with basic functions and a standard camera, however it seems the designer fell asleep and forgot to design the back.
