Vince, 20 December 2016

It's December 20 and as promised, the ZUK Edge is now official.

Lenovo has equipped the ZUK Edge with a Snapdragon 821 chipset, Adreno 530 GPU, either 4GB or 6GB of RAM and super fast 64GB of UFS 2.0 internal storage.

At the front, the phone packs a 5.5" display with a 2.5D curved glass on top. Lenovo claims 1500:1 contrast ratio and 85% NTSC color coverage. Below the display, there's a fingerprint sensor, which is capable of unlocking the device in 0.09 seconds. We're warming up our stopwatches to test this out once we get our hands on it.

The phone is has strong audiophile aspirations with a Dirac HD Sound providing better Hi-Fi audio, and the 3.5mm audio jack is also present. Make the phone bigger -> Harder to use one handed -> Harder to fit in many pockets. It's a mobile device, the smaller it is the better (w/t sacrificing screen of course), so bezels must go. So simple.
