i-Mate had put a lot of effort into advertising of their new Ultimate series of devices. For now they had only one working model of all the advertised handsets. It wasn't even a final design version and it was to undergo a lot of changes - the final versions would have a silver color and the screen won't be that shiny. The only working sample was the i-mate Ultimate 5150 - the slider one from the pack. The first impression you get when you see it is that it's rather large but all that is accounted for by the VGA resolution screens and the powerful Intel Bulverde 520MHz processor they are equipped with. But since basically all the models in the new i-mate series have the same specifications and just different form factors and sizes, everyone can find the appropriate size to suite their taste. The i-mate 8150 is a bar-shaped Pocket PC which is only 11 mm thin.

All the devices are based on Arima platform since i-mate no longer works with HTC. They will run Windows Mobile 6.0 Pro and would feature a XGA resolution video out plus UMTS, HSDPA and a 2 megapixel camera.
