Here's the stuff I like about my A500 tab:
    - It might be on the heavy side but it feels solid and comfortable to hold.
    - It has scratch resistant Gorilla glass display. Check the registered products in the Corning's gorilla glass website as proof.
    - It can read from my 120Gb external HDD (extended FAT32 formatted)without trouble.
    - The sound quality is very good.
    - Performance is snappy. Didn't experienced any lags.

    Here's what I don't like:
    - only .3gp and .mp4 video formats supported out of the box.
    - plastic material is used for the microSD card cover flap. I hope they used the same material they used in the back casing.
    - The speakers tend to get muffled when you place the tablet flat on its back.
    - HDMI port is not full-sized, though I bet they could have pulled it off anyway (since they have a full-sized USB 2.0 port on the other side of the tab.

not sure why this has been getting bad reviews.
it has better specs than the ipad
              better camera than ipad
it is a very good tablet, the only downside is that there are not many honeycomb apps out at current, however this will change with time.
cant wait for mine to be delivered!

I got this device 3 days ago up to now all what I can say is :it is AWESOME!
No accessories for it here in Saudi Arabia , tried a USB keyboard working perfect and even a wireless keyboard is working 
Amazing for reading eBooks , browsing the net over WIFI is speedy , touch sensitivity is more than what I expected ! I think it worth it’s price .
a flash USB memory works perfectly and u can browse the files in it , I’ve not tried a joystick yet since it needs a driver .
Still no many apps in the market for the Tablet so I think it is the right time for developers to start working on it.

Someone complained about the price but this device is only $450.00 at local Best Buy, Target, and Amazon. That sure seems like a good price to me for competing with Apple. This device blows the iPad away if considering the extra options it has. People love their iPads and iPhones but they are nowhere near as advanced and capable as Android devices. However, unless someone is very technology savvy they may not notice.

Had mine for about a week and absolutely love it, its tethers with my desire hd wirelessly so easy which makes surfing the net any where i am so easy, there's no need to jump on another plan and the wi fi really flys, The battery seems to go on forever and the honeycomb O.S is awesome but its way behind I pad in the apps department but time will fix that and with the support of Java and a real working flash player in the dolphin browser app make it so much better than the I pad 2 which my partner has and its soooooooooooooo restricted

As per the specification, stated that this is not gsm device. But this is an GSM device, since i have confirmed with the ACER technincal team. U can take this device for 28000 and u play video upto 5 hours as compare to samsung tab..it gives upto only one hour. I opt for yes to take any of ACER ICONIA device

Picked mine up about a week ago. I've been using Windows mobile products for about 7 years and have pretty much stuck with them when possible. I even bought a Lenevo S10-3T because it gave me a tablet working with Windows 7. That was a bit of a mistake because Win hasnt really come up with anything very touch friendly. So I thought I would give android a try and waited until 3.0 was out so I had something that was built for tablets rather than just a mobile system that has been tweeked a bit.

Hoestly I was a bit sceptical going in as I have been a little critical of Android. I'll be the first to admit I was wrong.... The A500 works great, it connected smoothly with my wifi, I was able to transfer docs, music and photos without hassle. The only problem I have had is that there are quite a few apps that will not load because of the location not the device. I love the usb slot, even managed to add a keyboard as I'm still getting used to typing on screen.

Overall I would give the machine high marks for build and usability. It is not something that I would replace my laptop with, but for travelling and carrying around it fits the bill.

I would have no problems recommending this machine to anyone in the market for a tablet. Letting a buddy play with it for a few minutes even convinced him to go out and get one as well.

If you bought a newly released product, don't expect that accessories are already available for it. The product has to come out first before manufacturers decide if it's viable to produce accessories for it. The Iconia was just release this week in Australia.
