Can anyone tell me if there is a gyroscope on the liquid e2? I see 'gyro' as a listed sensor but other sources seem to show it having no gyroscope.

I've read several reviews complaining about the unevenly lit buttons at the bottom of the phone. Does this apply to every phone?

If you want to change default ringtone, you have ... moreThank you very much my almost namesake. Totally understood and will try. I removed the camera protective film and it is a really good camera. Battery life is also very good. I can get 2 days easily out of it. Mind you, I am behind a pc wholeday so don't check emails that often with it but still very happy with it.
As for those asking about US suppliers, Welectronics has and also ebay has many sellers shipping to the US. Mine came from the UK and seller shipped to the US for me.

very nice when I update to 4.2.2 my I can now install all my aplication to my sdcard which I use 16gig. now I can install many aplications.

If you want to change default ringtone, you have to follow this easy steps:
1.Update the phone software (Settings>About Phone>System Update). Make sure you have an SD card inserted. You should have your battery fully charged to prevent a shutdown during the update.
2. Connect your phone to a PC and open the SD card folder. In this folder you should see a folder called Ringtones (if it doesn't exist, create it). Copy into this folder the ringtones.
3.Unplug your phone. Go to Settings>Sound>Sim1 Ringtone/Sim2 Ringtone. You should see your music ready to use as ringtone.
4. Enjoy tour custom ringtones! ;)

Such a really great phone. Updated itself. Works perfectly. Great speed. All installed apps work flawless as well as what I got. Camera looks good even though didn't remove the protective film. I am really satisfied with this phone.
Only thing to complain which I probably haven't figured out yes is how to use a ringtone other than what the phone came with. One off if not the best dual sim Android out there given price point and what you get.

e2 and p780 use same chip and same RAM and internal memory :P
so is same platform then except screen size, battery size, and 2nd cam p780 claimed 1.2MP, e2 claimed 2 MP :)
if i were u, i will pick bigger battery :P
or i choose IP67 phone (waterproof, dustproof)
i used lenovo A660, and very happy with that IP67 phone ;)( bigger battery is needed the only i complain from that phone)

between Acer Liquid E2 & Lenovo P780, which one you guys recommend me to buy? any reason (beside display size, pixel & battery)?

Been using this for a week now, so far have tested:
The good:
1. Sound is excellent, loud n super clear
2. Camera is good and clear
3. Display is excellent, touchscreen very responsive
4. Apps open fast, browsing also
The bad:
1. Battery is poor, with only wifi on for downloading it lasts only like 3 hours (gps,3g, everything else off)
2. wifi signal reception is poor (my old nokia e51 had much better reception on the same spot)
3. No USB OTG!!! Why????
So I you could find an extended battery, somehow make the USB port reads flashdisk, and boost the wifi reception, this would be a perfect phone for me.

Really satisfied with this smartphone.
Fast and reliable.
The battery life is good.
Too bad, the limitation, you can only put your installed apps on Internal Mmory or Phone Memory. You cannot install apps to SDcard memory. :(
There is no ShortCut icon to activate HOTSPOT, you have to enter Settings then activate Hotspot.
Overal: THIS SMARTPHONE ... COOL!!!! GOOD!!!.. FAST!!!
