How to make your own ringtones as default ringtone?
1. use file explorer such a x-plore
2. browse to sd card.
3. create new folder and name it media.
4. IN the media folder create 1 new folder and name it Audio.
5. In the audio folder create 2 new folders and name it notifications and ringtones.
6. copy paste your mp3/music in that folder (notifications is for messaging and etc like whatapps../ringtones for.. u know it)

I was upgrade into new firmware date 14 March 2013(OS_Acer_AV023.Z110.1.006.00.EMEA.FR_A23G_A.zip)
It fix a lot of bugs
When you got error usb port on step 2, try remove battery for seconds first.

I bought this phone in Jan'13, I use it simply without downloading many apps, use it to make calls, texting and sometimes surfing the net. It works fine and everything is ok until yesterday... voila! lock at recent apps finally came to knock my door while I was playing a game. Neither the touch screen nor soft keys responded except the power on/off button. I had to press the power button once to let the phone sleep and then to press again to wake it up to bring it back to normal.
I have no idea what triggered the problem. For the past few days before this happened, I downloaded 5 apps and constantly playing around with the apps. I think that could be the culprit.

Is there anyone have problem with gps locking on this device? I read in other forum that z110 doesn't really have builtin gps, and is this device have compass?

A basic phone. I found the 2 sim cards worked well and the phone managed all tasks. I had no issues with recent program function as reported by others. I did find the screen size and resolution a problem. I write a lot of emails on the phone when travelling and found that screen just too small to comfortably do the Job. The keyboard seemed to occupy 90% of the screen, leaving no room to review my work. The browser download speeds were very slow. Ram and on board memory is very limited, so if you buy this phone you will have to limit the programs you load up. Anyway I was impressed enough with the acer offering to buy the more expensive Acer Gallant Liquid duo which suits me much better.

For all with the recent-tab problem: you can return your phone to the dealer/store and you will get a new one. I have now one with manufacturing date Jan 2013 and no problems so far.

vina, 27 Feb 2013I bought a Acer Z110, but why ringtone for my calls, can no... moreif you want to use your favorite ringtones on android phone you can use app ringdroid,this app can cut mp3 player to become neither ringtones or notification, once you done,check again your sound setting,it must be appear your fav tones

I bought a Acer Z110, but why ringtone for my calls, can not take away from my external memory card, only the default ringtones of Acer ...
how to install mp3 from my memory card to use to call ringtone? .. I could not do it. please tell me how .. thank you... :)

Yem, 26 Feb 2013Just install basic apps like tone picker, winamp, whatsapp.... moreit will not work, this is a hardware problem and not software, to what use android, if only in pairs of basic applications

Just install basic apps like tone picker, winamp, whatsapp. move all installed apps to sdcard. use ultra performance sdcard. always delete big messages in whatsapp. will avoid `recent apps locking screen.
