I'm also a recent owner of a Z530. I got mine from my carrier as a loyalty (long-time) subscriber. A Better Camera and Camera FV-5 works wonders, Whistle camera is also a good one i would recommend. :)

Got the 8GB ROM/ 1GB RAM version for free from my carrier.
Screen: The best part of the phone. The best I've seen in this price range. Decent viewing angles and vibrant color gamut. Some glare (and a resulting loss of some contrast) as the screen is not bonded as close to the glass as possible. Brightness is above average.
Ergonomics: Lock button should be put on the side instead of the top. The big speaker holes are a cause for concern. The back is average in grippy-ness.
Performance: Given just 1GB RAM, task switching and starting is average. Touchscreen becomes less responsive when storage is being accessed. The games I've tried run ok. Relatively slower than a SD600 Galaxy S4. Battery is average in charge and drain.
Camera: The 8MP spec is disingenuous, I'd rather use the ancient 5MP iPhone 4 or BB9780 cameras. The noise reduction is excessively aggressive and the autofocus is slow. A little bit better with the fixed-focus Galaxy Tab 2 which is a very low standard.
Audio: The DTS software provides some improvement when using headphones. The big speaker behind the phone is adequate in volume but lacking in clarity. Speakerphone is barely loud enough.
Radio: SMS send speed is average. WiFi reception is average. 2G/3G/HSPA reception is very good.
Storage: My UHS-I 32GB uSD card works but I doubt its speed is used to its full potential. Good thing a lot of apps support external storage so the 8GB internal limit is not too imposing.
This is almost a perfectly adequate phone for the average buyer but the camera is a deal-breaker for me.

I bought this unit because it was recommended by the sales agent. I checked the specifications and I liked it because of its 8MP camera. However, the 8MP camera spec wasn't really desirable when you compare it to the other cp with 5MP camera. The 5mp camera of the other phone is clearer than the 8MP camera of Acer Z530. What should I do?

can someone please help me. i reset my acer z530 through settings and after resetting the phone the screen turns into black the only thing you will see is just the sinal bar, battery percentage and wifi icon
