How are you? To change ringtones, press menu button, then find the "Profiles" icon. Press Profiles then press options, scroll down to customise and then press enter. You will find a selection of ringtones by scrolling down the list To hear ringtone just select by pressing on your preferred ringtone . Once you have found the ringtone that you like, then press options and scroll down and press save.

Just an observer, 03 Mar 2016I used this phone from a friend in replacement for my smart... moreI finally bought this phone for me... I descovered that you can transfer a Vcard from pc to mobile through usb and open it in mobile from File Explorer. Then "set it as contact" and my phonebook is alive in this little Alcatel. Amazed I can say.

I used this phone from a friend in replacement for my smartphone for 1 month. ok, it is a cheap phone with no personalization setting expect thw calling tune and volume. No good for photos or video or web (wap protocol only), but i have to admit that this phone is a classic clamshell without an external display but i am ok with that. The best thing though is that in alcatel official site when you choose this phone from the "support" section, give you the pc suite software that anyone can download and have full access to the phone/sms/contacts etc... I transfered all my contacts from google to my pc with "export to Vcard format" and then from pc suite selected "Import from file". everything syncronised perfect so I decided just to live without my internet addiction while being out with friends. Today i repaired my smartphone but i am really thinking of getting this phone new, in case my smartphone breaks down. Be careful because the 1000 series does not support PC SUITE. for example 1035,1030, etc

This phone has a different kind of application support...you have to install them in VXP format.
i installed a app developed for nokia 200 and 225 in VXP format . You can also download app fromthe App store if it connects. Nw...anyone who needs the vxp file for Opera mini can mail me at wkhalidsmail@gmail.com

I find texting very laborious with having to scroll to the letter being wanted from a list on the left hand side of the screen. I cannot find predictive text - can anyone help me please. Otherwise I am fine with this phone - has bluetooth and is otherwise okay to use.

Had it 6 mths.Nice phone, battery life is really good, kinda large , specially wide.
One thing about Alcatel batteries: in this world it´s easier to find the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 , than an Alcatel battery. Please manufacturers work that out soon !

NO way to change sistem font color theme, NO way to make bigger or smaller display text. NO way to move around front widget menu and clock. Shortly- very, very poor personalisation possibilities. And if an older person would like to use the phone, there is no way to make life easier.
How can there not be such a simple stuff in???
