Battery life hasn't really been an issue for me cuz this phone charges up very quickly. very happy with my purchase

So, I did a promo with Alcatel for Cricket last week for the OTW (one's to watch) tour. And we were promoting and also gave away a FREE IDOL 4 phone w/the VR goggles along with backstage passes that night. I literally couldn't keep my hands off of this phone or thinking about it since. BTW I'm coming from the LG Stylo 2. 3 weeks in and the very 1st day it kept crashing on me.
IDOL 4
*I first enjoyed the feel of it. The gorilla glass is nice but not sure of the dropage damage.
*The 8mp front camera is juuust right especially in dark places. ( Not that I'm in them often, don't ask me how I know.)
*I love swipe, the keyboard moves pretty swiftly and accurate.
*Good processor! Takes 3 seconds MAX(I counted) for each app to open.
*The fact that there are speakers on the front AND back top to bottom.....(c'mon now)
*AMD last VR goggles.....
I paid $100 bones, $116 of you count tax.
FOR THIS PRICE THIS PHONE IS PRETTY GRAND!

This phone is garbage. It doesn't lag unless you use Snapchat, Instagram or Facebook. Anything that stresses the phone shuts it right down. It's so long I hesitate to call it lag. It's worse than that, it's complete stoppage for 10 to 20 seconds at a time. Had a galaxy s4 before this and it was way better. So basically this phone can't keep up with a phone from 2013. I honestly don't know where the good reviews are coming from. Did you upgrade from a Razr? Something from 1999? It has good speakers and is a good phone. So was my old Nokia brick phone that played snake. This thing is just terrible. Will never but from alcatel again. Very unhappy and kind of pissed at all the good reviews that people must have been paid to leave. I am either going to sell this to some unsuspecting sucker who read all the good reviews on it, or give it to my 2 year old niece as a toy. Any older and she would know it was crap.

I have had this phone for a few weeks now (Cricket USA) and all in all its a good phone, even after switching from an ASUS Zenfone 2 can you imagine. I have 2 issues with it though.
1. Battery life when using GPS is very bad, now i know GPS sucks battery life but i went from 64% to 10% in like 30 mins using GPS. Needless to say this is very unusual and alarming. Faulty unit???
2. The screen, once in a long while, freezes. The menu buttons work but the rest of the screen is unresponsive. After like 60 secs it comes back no issue and the phone works fine. This has now happened twice but its not a big issue so far.

Hello. I got this phone version 6055k Europe with 3gb ram, from a month and from now I can say that is a really good deal, honestly. The display is very bright, accurate and colors are awsome. Both cameras are doing a great job, build quality is with strong aluminium and glass, I droped him twice and not even a scratch. The phone does not lag, restart or anything like this. Battery charging time is about one hour and 50 minutes and last one and a half day with moderate usage. I recommend it for those who wants a awsome looking phone and a good device for a good price.

The truth about Alcatel idol 4. Do not expect big things from the Alcatel idol 4.I bought this phone to replace my now old one plus one. To my dismay,The Alcatel idol 4 isn't responsive. The frame rate is barely passable. If this company is trying to make waves in the tech realm then I suggest making a phone that power users can stand by when they suggest the brand to a friend. If you're not a power user, this phone might be ... (Hesitent to say- but maybe)'Okay'. My OLD 'one plus one' has much better response,framerate and overall appeal. I'm not impressed and in a week or 2 will replace this with something that can keep up. I would not recommend this phone unless you're desperate for something cheap.

Got this phone from Cricket for $99 with the vr goggles. Very nice phone for the money. No lag or stutters and the display is very nice. Build quality is superb with glass front and back and aluminum around the edges. Overall id give this phone package an 8 out of 10. The vr goggles are sort of a gimmick but it's nice that they come packaged for free. The sound from the two speakers is off the chain. Fantastic!

The battery is really good to me. And th phone is really great, About the speakers what to say? Fantastic, if you want to hear music is the best in that price and maybe better for most of the high range

I got this phone a few days ago and battery performance has been really really good, you might have a faulty battery. on sleep the phone dropped only 15% in 8 hours while i slept.
dropped 7% playing pokemon go for 30mins, general browsing it will drop maybe 10% in a hour

Today charged it on 4 different occasions and I'm not a big gamer, mostly Facebook, email. The only saving grace is the quick charge 2.0 but I will probably be returning this phone.

1life battery. After 1,5 years idol3 has a life battery compared with idol4
26.0 upgrade on idol3 runs much smoother even with older procesor and only 2gigs of ram
3.most important... I have root on idol3. I don't have blotwares, unusefull apps.. I have fuul control of the device
4 smapdragon 615 on the idol3 never gets hot!
5wiewing anles of the screen are better...
6aldo the idol4 is much more beautyfull designed, with the idol3 I'm much more relaxed. I droped it hundred times and I wasn't affraid it will broke. Dosn't atract fingerprints. I don't have to put it in a case
7 the speakers. They don't have so much bass like idol4 but they are crisper, better balanced and with dolby atmos they have way better surround and stereophony.
8.cameras. Now, the idol4 has flas on front camera witch is useless... Back camera is a litle better but i'm not use a lot my phone for taken pictures...and...like i told you.. I HAVE ROOT! cyanogen camera app is much more fast and improve a lot pictures quality
You want more? I GOT MORE!
FOR ME.... IDOL3 RULES!
