    Hii...Friends need ur help.......As im using Alcatel Onetouch idol x+....Its a beautiful mobile.....and im really impressed....but this model doesnt have external memory card...and there is an update which is not installing without sdcard..every time i tried to install updae it shows aborted....so pls tell me how can i update my mobile

      Success fully update my iodlx+ in second attempt.kitkat OS. Smooth, save battery use, ram free1.2gb ,gry looking nice,adding some futures in gallery editing, heating problem now reduced,...... Some time hanging my mobile after updates....over all 90% appearance is same previous Jelly Bean....

        4.4.2 update broke the Smart suit application. Now cannot connect. Broke the USB OTG write access. now no longer write to usb otg drives. No Root tools available to root the Phone.

        Phone is siginficantly faster and RAM usage steady at 38%

          Kitkat update done. I am from india 501 mb size update. After failing once got updated in the second try. New features one finger zoom available in messages and gallery. Dialer has a new look . camera has a burst mode and qr code scanner.profiles menu available in the notification bar toggles

            A/c to tcl company idol X+ 6043D model smartphone will got the kitkat 4.4 os but yet it isn't defined what is going on.we are waiting but noone is understanding our problems plz clearly said when will it came and plz send the upgradable link to the registered e-mail id

                    Alcatel announces 4.4 kitkat update on its alcatel India facebook page to be available from 15 August. But no updates being pushed yet.

                      1. Recently I read an article that Chinese made Pendrives has in built viruses in them which can not be erased.
                      2. Yet again same thing about Phones. I read in an article that Chinese made phones are sending very personal info of customers to their servers.

                      I really can not estimate the purpose and impact of these things. Either way I do not want to take the risk.
                      Idol x+ though a TCL phone, I am relying on Alcatel to have fixed if any such issues.

                        Reg. Battery backup: I watched a Full HD Avengers movie from my HDD(connected through OTG). The battery percent went to 2% from 50% in 2hrs 20mints. So I guess on an average I might get 4hrs-5hrs backup.

                                OTG? Yes. I was able to connect USB pendrives, and HDD(with an external power source using y-cable).

                                    I tried using OTG it detected and was being mounted but then it would get disconnected. Maybe it was my OTG cable that was faulty.
