here is an important piece of info guys.during my use the phone slipped off my hand.let the gods bless me! no major damage... Gorilla glass did a good job.but any how got few dents on the sides.... so its very imp to use a back cover for this phone... so i tried various cover.Atlast the galaxy s5's back cover fitted perfectly.except for the volumerocker.but u can easily cut a window for that by ur self.... And its advisable to attach a screen guard too.....

Dear All,
This mobile is best in this price range. I was using Sony mobiles from last 8 years, first time I changed to other brand, I don't regret after using this mobile. The camera, battery, touch and most important the speed is excellent. If you don't want to spend lot on mobile, please go for this and believe me you will be satisfied.

i hav seen people commenting Ill about the product's camera.its not that bad and pls dont compare this phone with sony and samsung flagships... if u want to then compare the price first..... just stop misguiding people...

But it lacks a well built service network(aweful actually).
I had the same questions in my mind before ordering the phone.Now its 2weeks since i got the phone.
U want to know the results of my useage??? Its awesome!!!
Here is my review.....
1)DESIGN AND FORM FACTOR:-
Its not the best looking smartphone in the market but it certainly makes its mark.The metal rim on its sides adds up some dashing looks to it.its plastic built
(Good quality).The front side is dominated by the 5 inch FULL HD Display protected my corning gorilla glass 2. The biezels on the sides are very thin.the top contains a 2mp cam,while the bottom part bears in it three capacitive buttons which gives haptic feedback when touched.the sides of the phone has the sim card slots with magnetic flaps.Unibody design-means u cannot open the back cover.The back side of the phone has the 13mp camera on the top followed by the led flash and the secondary mic(for noise cancellation).
2)UNBOXING:- the first thing in the box is the phone followed by the JBL headset(performed very well),The boom band (a fitness wearable which also notifies),then wall charger unit and the usb data cable.(The overall quality of the inbox items looks good).
3)CAMERA:- The rear camera sports a 13mp shooter,The camera UI is complicated and is not user friendly.It comes with limted modes like HDR,panaroma and face detection.coming to the video part,EIS is there.Now on about the performance part the camera does a pleasant job.Produces decent pictures and videos.Both the front and back shooter does a good job.
The flash helps meagerly in low light conditions,not very helpful.
The noise cancellation mic does a good job while capturing videos.
4)PERFORMANCE AND BENCHMARKS:- Under the hood the packs an octa core 2ghz processor coupled with 2gb ram and mali 450 mp4 GPU.When it comes to performance, just a single word to describe it "Awesome".No lags,no crashes! anyCan work with any apps or games u throw on it.

MEMORY AND CONCLUSION:-
Its comes with a non expandable 16GB memory which is well adequate for day to day useage.
The after sales service is a problem in india. The phone may get an OTA update for kitkat between july-august.Overall its a great value for money phone and is the champ in this price range.(17000)

hari, 25 Jun 2014please help me where to buy... i want to buy 32gb variant o... morehey Hari,the 32GB version is not available in India... but believe me 16gb is enough actually. I've installed nearly 20apps and having 53 apps in the internal memory(all heavy)+2movies and some 30 music files+photos. Still I've got 7.19GB(out of 12.3GB) left... if u want to watch more movies on YOUR phone then store 'em on a pen drive and watch them.. otg is supported :-) so 16gb is surely enough...except for watching more movies..

It is mentioned that non removable battery. If any battery problem occurred after warranty how can i replace the battery.

I am using the same phone and got away with similar problem, it's nothing just your phone is in saving mode which turns off the display brightness adjust feature to a fixed level of 40 percent or any other which you may have selected in saving mode settings. If you want to manually adjust the brightness you have to switch off the saving mode or you can just change the brightness level to your desired in battery saving mode settings, hope this works :)

I bought this phone the day it launched in india, and No regrets, pretty fast and stable i have also used it's predecessor i.e Idol X 6040D and that was a horrible experience i had to get it replaced with in a week of its purchase because it had issues of auto restart and even the replaced one was faulty the same way Auto restart ! But this one is superfast stable no lags and NO RESTARTS feels good in hand excellent screen and camera. But I am not able to find Android test codes for this device default codes don't work on this one. Can anyone provide ?

i bought this phone 10 days ago.this is a super phone like super man.its like super man of phones.evrything is amazing

build(i ve dropped it 4-5 times till now n no damage to the front just a few minor scratches to the back)
believe me the phone is better than other 30000 + phones..its basically a flagship @ 17000
but all this being said my phone is unable to lock on to gps.even if it does the car goes off track or it gets confused.im a frequent gps user as i drive alot.i had an xperia before it used to lock in 2 seconds but ths takes minutes n after that its sloppy.
if someone can help me with this kindly reply.i wont have to change this beautiful phone.

this is because the battery management [saving mode] should be enabled in your phone

I bought the phone a week ago, it is the european model. The SAR of the phone is 0,6-0,7 and not higher (according to its manual).
For the camera try SnapIt (a Lenovo camera app). In low light there is noise indeed.
The back of the phone is very easily scratched.
There are some heating issues as mentioned before.
Everything else works great in my phone and I think that it's a good choice for a dual sim phone for someone who wants low sar values.
Otherwise go for Lenovo K910 which I used to have. Better camera than the S4, the G2 or the Idol X+ and has Snapdragon 800. The problem of K910 is the SAR of 1.41 which is really high.

The camera is very poor in low light conditions. i would say very pathetic. it doesn't show any quality compared to Samsung or sony flagships of the same range.
It is awesome in spec and performance front. I am fully satisfied.

I recently bought this phone online everything works perfectly until today I noticed that the display option (slider bar) under Options and the quick toggle bar just frooze. I cannot increase nor decrease the backlight of the phone; Its just static. Please help me. Or email me at markck@live.com
