I bought my alcatel idol x last month. I like the design and also the spec. Price point also rhe reason i chose it.
Now I have a problem with it. I dont understand why it sometimes cannot connect to internet while the signal is strength. and the strangest thing for me is at the same time when my phone cannot access internet when i open tathering wifi hotspot of the phone then every device which is connected to it very easy and smooth to access the internet via its tathering. Can anybody hep me for this?

i had a report from agent service ... it's a industrial defect ... and i can replace it ... can the bro here ... if i take another idol x or samsung or sony and which model? >> thx

please please can anybody tell me why the phone overheats in the earpiece and IF its normal will it cause the chips to burn or sth and the battery is so bad can i get a better one for it i know its not user replaceable .....i got this phone 4 days ago please helppppppppppppp

Had this phone for 3 month and it's awesome. Several lags for game like real racing , asphalt 8 and subway surfer.

any one can tell me , i bought it from 2 days ... and it's really heating when i'm just looking in my facebook or writin on whattsapp ... and the battery it's really going down in 3 to 4 hours maximum... any one help me ,, do i have some thing to reduce these problems or i go to the warranty to replacing it ?

Is it possible to change the layout of keyboard on One touch Idol X?
I'm not used on qwerty keyboard and would like to change it to standard phone keyboard,
I cannot find this option anywhere, I'm using android phones for 3 years and never had such problem.

I Get this device one month ago there is a strange problem some times when i try to make a call it shutdown (hapend 5 times) or after finishing acall I discover it shutdown

mazmaz, 12 May 2014mine is exactly the same .......but I can live with thatOk but I am afraid it is just the beginning of bigger malfunction, I don`t know I feel we should send it to be checked as long as it is under the guarantee.

AnonD-258169, 12 May 2014That's normal.When you pull down the notificaton bar it's b... moreI guess you didn`t get the point , am talking about the colors of any program , home screen ...etc , when you pull the notification bar down then pull it back , colors in home screen wallpaper , widgets , icons looks very bright then adjust itself back to the normal degree of the color. The same happens with opening an app for first time , or volume scroll the orange indicator looks bright when first appear on the screen then adjust back to normal !!! ...etc

mazmaz, 12 May 2014thanks .....but bad news .......is there any way to use wif... moreActually there is another app called SuperBeam | WiFi Direct Share and in the description they say ( Sharing with devices that do not have SuperBeam through web interface.) but never tried it before so maybe you can try it and tell me .
Another solution ; Keep the APK file of Wifi shoot app on your device and when you need to share with other device simply send the apk through Bluetooth( if the APK could be sent ) and make him install it then start using the wifi direct :D .
