"We have plan to ugprade IDOL X to 4.4 Android OS in next year."
So lets hope it will be more 1Q - 2Q of 2014 and not 3-4Q.

Alcatel bought Idol X on 02/02/2014 and frankly the word excellent device which very few honestly this device over the excellent in terms of sound and camera and speed all need it sweet. Thanks for Alcatel respectable.

You can try clean firmware restore using the Mobile Upgrade Tool provided on Alcatel Official Site http://www.alcatelonetouch.com/global-en/support/download/one_touch_idolx.html. Before doing that, make sure your phone is fully charged.
