WK, 28 Jan 2014Hey, do you install custom rom? I found that LeWa OS is off... moreHi. I didn't install any custom rom. Just root my phone to get rod of all the useless apps bloating my phone. Doing this and installed some apps to save battery and control my cpu, its enough for me. Maybe i will try the custom rom you mentioned. Thats all and bye bye..

hii , i just buy Idol x with dual sim , i feel good with it but i have some inquires ,1).I found some application installed like whats app ,facebook , and so on , is it a default that the phone come with most popular apps?? or someone installed them out the factory default ?? ...........2) i read that the internal memory is 16 G , but in the phone setting->storage-> i found total space is about 12.9 G ... i need clarification for this......3) i feel that the voice of phone is not higher enough ...right ??or something goes wrong with mine.........last question : i buy it from Egypt , what is the default accessories come with it ?? it only comes with hand-free ,charger and screen protector but no cover included .and i can't find cover of this mobile in any store .....IS the cover is one of the default accessories ??

Also for everyone looking for the Micro SD slot, it is by the volume buttons. You pull up the little flap and insert it in, just like the sims card!! :)

I found that LeWa OS is officially supported on TCL Idol X and the feedback of it is good, possibly even better than Alcatel's stock ROM. I havent tried the ROM yet but it is beautiful(screenshots). Also if you haven't notice the Idol X+ which is launched this month in China shipped with LeWa OS preinstalled. the site is in Chinese so maybe you can google translate but dont worry i can confirm that the ROM has English language packed

Hi. I want to discuss about rooting this phone. I rooted my phone using kingoapp.com. the root is easy and the apk is good with supersu installed after update. One big problem though, never ever install xposed installer apk because phone will never wake up past the start up screen. I install greenify donation, install this apk to get the greenify donation going, reboot the phone. Alas, huge mistake. Cant even go into android reboot mode using power+volume up button. My solution is using alcatel upgrade tool to reset the phone. This happened to me twice to find out the culprit..

mazmaz, 22 Jan 2014could you give me a link to the IDOL X original firmware wh... moreAs I know, the Mobile Upgrade tool by Alcatel will do a clean install of the latest firmware available only if your device is of older firmware. I would recommend it if you are having the camera problem like the others have. But if you are already on the latest firmware I don't think you can do the reinstall firmware thing using the tool. (Anyone please point me out if i'm wrong, also Can anyone who have used the Mobile Upgrade Tool by Alcatel tell me that are the apps i.e Gameloft games, AVG, Shazam, ...still remain/included or not? Thanks ).

Sam, 24 Jan 2014anyone knows where to put a micro memory card in alcatel?!!! If you have dual SIM model than you can't . Micro sd card slot is only available for single SIM version.

The update fix the camera flash problem, now is better.
But i dont know any other bugs !!!
