why worried about alcatel - TLC? how about HTC - Dupood? Even now iphone parts also made in china... quality issue is not brand but vendor who supply the parts ... i been use 3 weeks now..seem ok. but the funny parts is, when people expect this phone same like note 2 or S4...wake up .. its a mid level smart phone which way much better then S2 (dual core)with a slim profile... as you may khow.. all slim smartphone nowaday came wt a fix battery..(eg. sony, iphone, HTC ect) so what's the issue.. it is not you always change your batteries when power low...
dont compare you toyota vios wt bmw X6.. get a life...!

you can calibrate the phone using calibrate apps available on google play :)

The battery backup is actually good, the guy who wrote below must've not possibly calibrated the battery before the first use I own the phone feels better than my sgs2 especially the screen

Alcatel is a well established brand, though its components maybe made in china. They are not rebranding phones.

Finally i was able to get my hands on this beauty. After reading so much about Alcatel's latest offerings I chanced upon a display unit and personally tried Alcatel's latest technology. It is indeed such a very nice phone. Good job Alcatel!

bought this one idolultra 6030x model about a week ago..clearly.. this is a good phone..
- clear phone calls..
- loudspeaker for mp3 are not irritating in max volume..
- battery life is also good..you can make it through the day just using sms, calls and some games..
- no lag on games and playing full videos..
- great wifi coverage..
very good phone for average users.. two thunbs up for this..
and oh..by the way.. camera pictures are SOOOO good.. HD at its finest.. HD AMOLED for 6030x super slim idol ultra..

Switch off the phone
Press the Power button and volume + together till displaying the android logo with red explanation mark
Once it appear press the power button once
it will take you to android system recovery
From the recovery screen, use the Volume Down button to toggle the selection to wipe data / factory reset.
Press the volume+ to select and wait till format to be finish
select reboot your device and press volume+ to reboot
wait till reboot the device and enjoy

Remove battery and reinstall it
Press the volume Up and power key together
It will take you to ANDROID SYSTEM RECOVERY
Then press the power button once
now you can see recovery options
then select wipe data/factory reset
then press power button__-it will take a while
Then scroll up and select reboot system now and press power key then wait till reboot and enjoy your phone again

In less than a month of use, the mic stopped working. Gave the phone to the dealer. Asked to check after one week.
