I'd like to know if anyone else has this issue.
When I text someone, the phone will automatically place a call to that person. Very frustrating. Especially if I need to text and NOT call them.
Related; when the phone is turned on it's side, to use larger keys in the text app, it will place the call more quickly. I don't think the phone was designed to call someone by waving your hand, closely over the screen either.
I would not recommend this phone to anyone.

I puchased this phone 2 months ago, It really sucks. In my life i purchased first time Alcatel, and my experience is horrible. First of all the battery life is not the exact what has been mentioned in specification. Another big problem is its rebooting, it reboots always even if the call is in progress. I dont recommend this phone and never buy again any Alcatel

this phone sucks. if had it for about 7 months and the screen is cracked beyond belief its slower than a turtle stuck in molasses and the recording stopped working for snapchat. the first time i dropped it about 2 feet and it cracked everywhere. the phone is thick and bulky and odd shaped this phone sucks...ALOT

I have it for about two months and despite the fact that it needs charging everyday, the phone is great! But if you want to buy a phone that has better battery life, then ok, you should try maybe Samsung phones. Hope that i helped you ;)

newmommy, 15 Feb 2014I just got this phone not even 24 hours ago and i fully cha... moreIt might be one of the applications you downloaded because it usually last a whole day...reduce the brightness and turn off stuff that you dont use all the time like gps or bluetooth, that helps!

received fone 4 days ago as free upgrade from cell provider. when turned on it sometimes takes 20 or more depressions of icon to select phone or google. blue border around icon lights up but phone does not respond. battery life is less than 12 hours. fully charged overnight and error message displayed that something could not access something else and gave choice of force close or wait. when force close selected screen dimly glowed purple and phone would not turn on until battery removed for about a minute. battery was extremely hot. might be a good phone if it would work more than 10 percent of time and would not try to burn the house down.

battery life is the biggest problem on this phone and also large sized games hang while playing. otherwise the rest of the specs are okay

I just got this phone not even 24 hours ago and i fully charged the battery after it died and its been about a hour and its down to 68% already... im starting to doubt this phone. Will you guys please give me your opinion on this phone? im wondering if i need to get a different one, if this one is just messed p, or if its a good phone. thank you
