I got this phone from Smart Plan 349 also known as Inspire 2 in the Philippines. I was disappointed with its battery. It drains so fast even if it is in standby mode.

Alcatel is the best thing since the emancipation proclaimation. It's my everything, when I look at the screen something comes over me ... All I can think is "beep Bo doop beeloop" it's uncanny. I live in Jennings and Alcatel has done wonders on my life ! Thank you Alcatel !!!!

I asked about phone battery because a lot of people seem to be complaining - I am not outraged by phone batteries lasting a day, I was simply wondering if battery on this particular phone, Alcatel M'Pop, really lasts as short as everyone said. Turns out it doesn't, it lasts as long as in any other Android phone. Your comments about laptop really ticked me off, as they are completely unrelated, but I got my answer from anonymous. Thank you, anon, you are a life saver and humanity's last hope.

i'm using this phone for a week now, and i'm pretty satisfied (my first smartphone so i can't compare with others). battery lasts long enough if you don't use it all the time. on idle without gps/wifi active, it can last a couple of days without charging, with gps / wifi or some tracking app in background active - day or two. if you use it constantly, then 2, 3 hours max. it helps if you lower the display brightness on minimum.
as for the performance, everything is working ok, although there is some freezing in firefox when trying to open play store. it occured after i installed system update (and i also lost home screen rotation (orientation)) so i recommend not to install any updates offered if your phone is working ok.
camera is ok, images are not super sharp and clear but are usable. video recordings are good (720p), there are samples on youtube.

Battery lasts more than laptop's battery.For new sets first use make it drains completely then put it to charge for complete 8 hours.always charge it while power is off

Can someone define "the battery drains too fast" please? What is too fast? If it lasts a day with moderate use (listening to music for few hours and such), then I don't think it's a really a big problem. Does battery last only few hours? Someone reply, pl0x.

this is a good phone, the problem is the batery... if you have some extra money you better buy the alcatel idol
