use Kingo the device then use a program to set cpu to max upon boot, also delete any stuff you dont want off it to make it a bit faster mine is ok after doing all this plus battery last a bit longer now to :) dunno if there any roms yet but follow instructions on google to insstall CWR witch has root installed and do not need root with Kingo mine is Alcatel One Touch 5020X

Friends, I bought this phone 6 months back and observing now its a very slow in terms of internet access. I tried to update it and got update but still the problem is same. I googled a lot if there is custom rom available for this phone but I didn't find. I got succeeded in rooting only.
please i want a custom rom for this phone or lower version of android so that i can browse fast.
please help.

All I want to know about this phone before I actually buy it is...
1. How long does the battery life last? Hopefully a whole day because I use phones all day.
2. Is the camera any good? HD recording and good quality photos?
3. How good is the touch response? Smooth? Or does it take multiple touches just to respond.
-I'm not expecting much from a budget phone by the way. Thanks in advance! :)

Actually I got it as idea aurus3 in India.. I am using this for one year and my experience:
Display : not bad at this price but too bad under sun. Min brightness is too high if we r in indoors
Performance: 6.5/10 , not too lag but somewhat while playing some games
Touch : average only
Camera : in daylight fine for the price but at night too poor
Gaming: 7.3/10 mc4, asphalt 8, GTAsa, gta3, dead trigger, six guns etc are tested and all works but not too fine. Some times closes by low memory
Battery: it is the worst I think. For Norma use 6 -9 hours
Moderated 3-5, web browsing 2-3, gaming 1.5 to 2.5,
It takes 2 hours to fully charged.
It also heats fast. Battery heats very fast.
So in my opinion its waste of money. I brought it for 6k and Now for this price several others are available... So choose wisely..

Hi,
I have a problem with my mpop. It happen when i tried to download documents from my work, i want to format my memmory card but some how i format the phone with the card and now the phone is completely shut down. but when i plug it beck to the pc the application for device progrem came up which means the phone needs to be reprogremed. can you guys please send me a soft copy for the phone to be reprogemed thanks.

Listen up Ladies... Here's how to stop the blinking on your phone every time you receive a text or if you have missed calls..
Go to Messages
Then Settings
Scroll down to find the NOTIFICATION SETTINGS
Uncheck the Notifications
And that's it..
You won't see any blinking on your phone.. Got it?

Hi I have an alcatel A5020 and I can't turn on the wifi pls help as im about yo throw my fone at the wall lol.I done a reset and I could turn it on then it went all crazy and now thewifi icon just flashes.Pls help im no wizz at this stuff.

I have this phone more than a year :)
And I find it a good phone..
Not like many comments I just read .. The battery life is really good I listen a lot to music and watch u tube it works well and don't take long time to charge it again.
Screen size is good
Easy to use phone ( of course not the first few days I remember when I got it.. It was annoying to switch n from my old phone.. But got used to it and it's easy to use :)
Price is good
I give it 8 of 10 for all features
except one true problem no auto focus in camera :(
It's annoying if u want to take pic for a written thing.. A note or a label or any small writings u get it blurred.
But normal pictures are good.

I bought this one July last year at $44.5 aus dollor(vodafone customized, $2.99 unlock fee). It's still good to use up to now. The only flaw （relative to same price field products） is the camera can't autofocus.

After root it, you can simplify the system through 3rd party app(I use LBE security,even can delete the embedded apps). Then the OS will run more smoothly.Even though it is just sole-core cellphone, the simplification measures are essential.

I'm upgrading from the alcatel one touch 918 i feel this phone is going to be a great upgrade for me.
