I use Alcatel 6010D. It is a very good phone, except I can no longer receive yahoo mails.
It suddenly stated to tell me that "your e-mail services stopped due to low storage" and goes a head to tell me that I can delete useless email applications to space. I do not understand. Can some one help

i have this mobile really very nice and very fast but have one problem the battery bad if i will buy new mobile i buy alctel one touch ultra idol

I really like my Alcatel one touch star. Yes it doesn't have a lot of battery life but I've seen worse. If I haven't wifi turned on it can last for almost 2 days and it's a lot for a smartphone. I love the design. My only problem is the internal memory. I waited a lot to buy a sd memory card and it got stuck a lot. Now that I bought one it's performing really faster but as fast as it used to. should I erase everything that's on my internal memory ? did anyone experience the same problem?

Hello All,
I've bought two alcatel 6010d phones. To be sincere Alcatel should return money to buyers for such crap (its not cheap phone as cost about 170 EUR/pcs). Phone turned off during first battery charging writing that is overheating. The same did second phone during third charging. Phone left 60-100mb of free memory during using and got hot during playing or internet browsing.
The final that got me crazy was that battery got down after 14 hours of stand by.
I got mad because ive spent money for such phone which is not really bad on paper.
Ive look at interned for solution but nothing comes out so ive tried to solve problem myself.
1) you have to root phone with framaroot 1.6.0

2) install Antutu CPU master to set CPU and profiles
Profiles are following (you are going to loose warranty with root):
Main window: min 250mhz - max 1001 mhz, hybrid scaling
profiles window:
Loading : hybrid scaling, min 250 max 500 mhz
Screen off: powersave scaling, min and max 250 mhz
Using: powersave scaling, min 250 and max 1000 mhz
Low power: powersave scaling, min 250 and 667 mhz
Advanced I/O harmonogram - noop
3) turn off auto-brightness at options bar and in screen options (yes both as it's not the same)
4) turn on 2G net at network options - it limits transfer if you use 3G
On this sets phone works now for 15 hours having 75% of battery after night standby on two sim cards, playing music for 0,5 h, 15min calls , and 15 min games. Heat stays low during loading.
Now - Alcatel technical guys you - owe big apologies to all users for being lazy with software programming, and you owe me good beer :)

Been using since March 2013.
Battery life is really bad. Have to charge about 2-3 times a day if I'm using the internet. First day of buying it and charging for the recommended 8 hours, I got a notification that said battery is overheating. And I get this on a daily basis now.
Lags a lot. Apps take forever to open, if they open at all. Sometimes apps close on their own. Especially if the internet is on. Interface is bad at times too. Touch screen doesn't work well sometimes.
Memory card keeps going undetected from time to time on a daily basis. Not sure if it's a manufacturing defect specifically for my unit, or every unit is the same.
But if you're buying this phone purely for the dual sim card feature to make calls, and reply messages, it's a good phone to have.

Having owned this handset (OTS 6010X single SIM) for 1 month now, all I can say is : DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE.
Even at the price point it is not worth it. 2 main reasons for this are: 1)Appalling battery life and 2)Appalling performance.
The battery lasts no more than 12 hours on normal use (some texting, 40 mins calls, WiFi, some browsing (WiFi/3G).
As far as performance is concerned, I regularly experience freezing, web browser closing for no apparent reason, the touch screen seems to be not very sensitive to touch (especially the soft keys).
I purchased the phone believing that the 1Ghz dual-core would make up for the lack of RAM (512MB) but I was very wrong. My previous handset (HTC desire S - 1Ghz (single core), 768MB RAM) had far superior performance.
Apart from this, the physical issues started within the 1st week. When the soft keys are on, the edge of the phone would let light through the area where the screen meets the chassis and if I squeezed between my fingers the light would disappear! As well as this, the rear cover became creaky almost immediately.
Finally the camera is terrible. I don't buy a phone to take pictures but on occasion I would snap a sunset or something. On the HTC DS, the picture was crisp and clear on the OTS the picture is just awful, video recording is even worse.
In conclusion, the only thing this phone has going for it is it's looks...

Have had this phone for the past 6 months and wassurprised howeasynit is to use this phone but....... After ab 3 months problems started . Phone is constantly blocking and this just when making a simple phone call . Whatsapp aplication works poorly as well actually any aplication related to internet works poorly and keeps being blocked . Tne issue has nothing to do with my local providor as i have been traveling the past months and using this phone with two different sim cards from two different providers and always the same problems . On top of all these issues battery life has gone from , when fully charged , a full day to maybe 6 to if i get realy pucky 8 hours . No this phone is useless as not performing will go and purchase a samsung galaxy and forget ab alcatel phones.

I had this phone for a week now , and i say after using it its a good device in general except for battery eschew. Battery drains fast. But it still good handset for its price. My ex-phone was Galaxy Note 1 and i had sony xperia e for some while and sony ericsson models , i say no big difference , fas,neat and elegant over all.

Lumia 520 or Alcatel one touch star ......
BTW I heard a lot about the lag of this mobile and as you know android is always hungry for ram and battery.... A little help here :D

A good smartphone for the price BUT :
- not enough of RAM
- heat dissipation issue
- frequent application crashes

Have been using this phone for the past 4 months . Nice thing and with all the features i personally needed . Purchase price realy cheap . Maybe battery life for heavy users as myself should improve . My next dual sim phone will most prob be an alcatel brand again maybe one with a larger screen.

any custom rom for this phone? i screwed up the phone it is looping to start. i didn't cwm backup.
