Xpop, 04 Nov 2013Well.... i emailed Alcatel. They said no Kitkat for Xpop. T... moreyeah i also emailed them and they told me they wil not give scribe easy an update.

Hey guys, i've been using that fone for 4 months and it's a good one wz a good price. but the battery life is too bad and i had a problem with the charging socket so i needed to change it and i don't know even till now what made that socket failed to charge.

If Alcatel didn't give this Android 4.4, I swear I will never buy anything from them again...
The UI is mostly stock Android, it shouldn't be too hard to make an upgrade!

I'll root my X'Pop and install Kitkat, but from now on I think I'll pass any new Alcatel device, because ot pisses me off that thay desided not to put Kitkat update. In IT one MUST be in touch with new things, not steping back! They could make update and if someone doesn't want to risk with Kitkat on this configuration, one may not install update. Very bad move from Alcatel, and I just thought they came back on the good path :-/ I'll go Note 3 as soon as I can :-)

i would rather be faithful with the other brand when it comes to updates especially Sony and the other..... kinda disgusted on buying this phone...... yet i really hope for kitkat update....

They don't want to update the OS to kitkat, atleast they should release the binary or something so we can root this thing and we can put kitkat.

There's no excuses as Android Kitkat is low to mid end friendly considering even a 512MB RAM can manage that update as published by Google.... So I really hope that this phone will get its update to Android 4.4 soon......

Issues re: Alcatel xpop (sapphire 2) (1)overheating specially if wifi/3g, gps on, brightness full, doing lots of gaming/apps
(2)gps location laggy
(3)very slow. I can't allow apps to work in background bec it makes the phone unusable. I even uninstall several apps bec the ram reaches 95% usage.
(4)not compatible with standard earphone/ headsets. The loudness level thru the bundled headset is so low.

does any body tried to root the x'pop?..i guess its the only solution for the xpop to have much better performance considering on battery life,ram and o.s...
because all the opinions of all the xpop user were all correct..
by the way..im xpop user for almost a year now..

I bought my sapphire 2 last may 2013 and I just pull the cord of the charger, after that, i cant charge it anymore. I reported it immediately (june 2013) . They said I come back after 2 weeks, but when I come back, they told me that the motherboard is broken and it was not covered by the warranty. Well, its alright if we will pay the additional charge for the motherboard. But they're selling it for 80% of the phone's original price. How pathetic. Dont buy it, after sale service is poor and until now, october 27,2013.,, I dont get my phone from them. Poor service I swear. This is based on my experience
