We got the dual sim dual stand-by Alcatel 355D in the Philippines.
In my own experience the phone is best as a basic phone. It does not have a micro sd slot.
Based from the colors of the phones i tried the red and the silver. The red phone has threaded sms, while the silver one doesn't have. Plus, the red one has a multitap feature which can bring up "Ü" on your text while the silver does not have.
The clarity of the conversation over a phone call is just awesome compared to my previous samsung dual sim basic phone.
Yes, it plays mp3. but it does not have a player built in to it. I'm not sure if you can connect with a usb cable to upload files to your phone. Might try it one day.
Very good responsive qwerty keypad.
Overall I'm happy with the phone. Very basic and it gets the job done. Gotta love the Threaded sms on such a very cheap phone.

I own one. Soft, efficient and friendly. A refreshing experience. Kind of new start. Ideally priced. Some will miss Bluetooth and a USB data connection.
