mel, 08 Jan 2011how can you set the internet settings on this phone??I can help you with the GPRS Settings if you are using Philippine networks like Globe, Smart, or Sun Cellular only. Kindly post here what network you are using. Thanks.

Thanks a lot dude... Mean to say the release call button is the shortcut for lock & unlock... Wow... This phone is interesting... I'm just waiting for my payday to have this phone... Very affordable touchscreen phone... Better than samsung champ & other nokia & LG touchscreen phone in this price range... Well done alcatel... I'm so excited...

Just check the wap settings of your phone, there is a default for all network.I'm using smart right now for standard phone browsing..

I also figured that you could set it by selecting the "Add widgets" icon, 2nd last in the desktop toolbar.

To all users of OT-710D who are requesting games (there are about 20) from through my email add, I'm sorry for the delayed reply. It is just today that I have browse the net because we are so very very busy with our job when started our operation this year. I am only using our office PC (I don't have PC in our house) and unfortunately, I left my phone in our house so I cannot provide you today. I will provide all of you tomorrow evening.

You should have been checking this feature before paying the phone because this is clearly a manufacturer's defect. If your unit can record video, it should be able to play its recorded video also. But if this is really your case, try to reset your unit (everything in phone's memory will be lost/erased) by using flash format. After this your unit should now be able to play its recorded video. Otherwise, you should take it to store where you bought it and ask them to repair it for free, just bring your warranty card and your proof of purchase.

I am not sure if we can browse the net for free using globe or smart but I am currently using sun cellular in browsing internet for free.

You just to slide it left to right or right to left if you want to use your phone while it is idle. You can also manually lock it pressing (short press)the switch button after you use it.
