kaz, 10 Jan 2011does any1 know if you can assign more than 2 contacts with ... moree-mailed Alcatel themselves. They say:-
When assigning different ringtones to different contacts in the \"phone directory\", phone directory will only save the ID, not ringtones. Therefore, it will not take up much phone space and has no max limit.
We have tested 10 more, it runs well. Please try again.
Has anybody done this? And can you get more than 2 ringtones working properly ?

Phone is trendy but it can't read pdf, m4i and ms office files. The possibility of plug and play minus installing first is the best feature on this phone, and that it uses a universal charger is great because I can charge it from almost any where.

does any1 know if you can assign more than 2 contacts with ringtones on the phone directory?? I've even had new software update and can only get 2 that rings with the tone i set for them. Its letting me assign tones but its not that tune when that contact calls me. Don't know if my phone is faulty or not. please help.

net is good nearly like Blackberry ..

I have had this fone nearly a year and have found it to be excellent. I normally tend to favour Sony Ericsson, but since having this I dont look back!
Camera isnt fab, and in the dark is worse, I have had the chrome version and the print on the keys has come off, but other than that I cannot fault it. nitially had a few probs with mms but this got sorted (don't ask me how).
I have since bought 2 t-mobile vairy texts (which I havent used yet) but as they are virtualy the same fone, I will now have future fones the same as this one.....even if this 1 is no longer sold when it meets its fone maker! Battery life is good, speaker fone is great, bluetooth speed fast......and loads of people think its a blackberry...so you can even get away with a hint of posing hehe! Hope this is helpful
(my alcatel was £50, but vairy txt is £30) as DD (oh orange one) would say: 'cheap as chips!'

i have this phone and it is really cool, stop complaining about it and read the freaking manual before complaining about it. If you wanted WI-FI and 3G remove more money and stop being cheap.

i own this mobile phone for about a month from now and it is really excelent, the camera is pretty good although it is 2 mpx , it is really good, the phone looks are really good, just like a blackberry, the speed of the phone is excelent no lags , when opening menus , or accesing anything on the phone, java suport great loads and loads of aplications for it, the music player is very good, it has everything you need...the memory of the phone is only 20 mb so i recomend buying a micro sd card...so did i...the internet is pretty good, but it could have got 3g hsdpa....or even wi fi...but for the price...gprs..and edge are pretty good...you get opera browser preinstaled and it is phenomenal...the keyboard on the phone is excelent the keys are big enough to write...the screen is beatifull all the pictures look so sharp...email support of course :) ...and the simple scrool wheel is excelent...battery life is about 3-4 days with constant use...talking sound qualitiy is excelent...really has everything a basic man needs...from internet...to music...to instalable aplications..games...perfect...oh and it has a g sensor so you get really cool games to play....buy this phone and enyoy it...i bought it and i am enyoing every moment when using it...bye!
