I'm interested in getting this phone. I saw one in the mall last Sunday and fell in love with it. The design is good and the price is affordable also. Could any user of this phone comment on the battery life and touch screen response? Thank you in advance.

Battery life: 26 hours 2hrs BT and 5hrs 3.5G usage. Standby for me with everything ON 2.5 days. Good call quality. And mine is very responsive to touch. It only hangs when you exit an application abruptly to home screen that will take you at max 3-5 seconds.

After using this phone for a month i can say that it is a big let down..the only positive qualities are dual sim, cost and qwerty keypad. the downside is on the software bit...the phone hangs especially when someone calls, you can receive the call but the screen goes white forcing a hard reboot, The touch response time is just crap....a minimum of at least 10 seconds before response. screen display is extremely below average even for Alcatel, Battery life is USELESS even without using WiFi or BT. Utmost charging is an every day affair.

Great phone. Just got mine last night. Very good sound quality both the speaker and headset that comes with the package. So Far i haven't encountered problems except for :
- Indoor image quality is bad.
-Can't install viber.
I am still observing the battery life. :)

Im rreally falling for this phone .I really hope the keys dont get erased with usage like its been the case with very many Acatel Qwerty phones.

And you're saying that Chacha is better than Alcatel ot 916 with does lies and over pricing of HTC.
FYI,chacha has a Qualcomm MSM7227 chipset.
