It's very cool phone. I bought it. Now it's avalibale update to 2.3. It's cool. Little disapointing that it's only 600 mhz. But it's enough for games and other things. It's very cheap, i suggest you to buy this phone if you want cool and cheap ANDROID phone.
PS: When i bought this phone i got free 2GB memory card, for me it's enough 2 Gb ;).
Enjoy this phone i really recommend this ANDROID

The only problem I've come across from the random "force close" is the fact that the charging port screws up after a few months of use, it did it on my first one got it replaced, and my new one is doing it after about six months. other than that it's a good phone for the price.

This is my first android device.Processor is only 600mhz, but it's fast enough for this phone.Display is quite good, compared to price. The only thing I do not like is camera, looks like it has only 2 megapixels.

I'm on my second Alcatel 990. The first one just died. The bottom buttons seemed to have a faint glow, but the phone wouldn't turn on. I traded it in on another one which worked for about 3 weeks and suffered the same problem. This time I kept playing with it until I got it back up. Here's the fix. 1. Remove the back cover and the battery. Count to 10 and reinstall the battery. 2. Hold down the volume "UP" key while pressing the power button. That fixed mine. Good luck.
