I am wanting to buy this phone. Alcatel OT-993 in white or Alcatel OT-995 in Black because there is no white Alcatel OT-995 in New Zealand. Is it a good phone? And what are some main problems that happen with it?

i have a problem when i am using any voice calls programs like ( viber , line , maaii beta ....
i hear the other person like i turn on the speakers and another problem that i can hear him very clearly but he cant hear me at all .
i tried wifi and mobile internet same problem
so how can i fix this problems ?

I bought a white unit that conked out on me within the 7 day replacement period. It had overall low reception so it was placed with a black unit. A few hours after I took it home, it DIED on me when I tried to reformat the SD card that was taken out of the white unit. The SD card was ruined, too.
DON'T BUY THIS UNIT! As a matter of fact, don't buy this brand. This phone is crap. Alcatel has no proper service center in the Philippines. The personnel at Airtouch (its designated repair centers) are idiots (well, at least the front service girls were).
You're better off with Samsung with proper service centers. Don't buy uber cheap phones like this or you'll be duped.

i found the pdf on the spec of this phone. The chipset is QUALCOMM MSM 7227A snapdragon. for this type of chipset, the integrated GPU is adreno 200...

thinking about buying this phone.. the 1ghz cpu and 512mb ram is a bargain right now.. but the GPU? it is really no GPU or human mistake here which forget to put the GPU spec or no info available at the time? or maybe it really doesn't have GPU.. can someone verify it?

what about its battery ? specifications say battery lasts for 4 hrs during talking , so will battery be a big problem for this phone ?

I bought the phone 2 days ago and it's a very good deal of mony and spec the phone is very good till now the sound quality is perfect and loud the screen is terrific the battery life is not good what annoys me is that when I download a game and after downloading this message comes " no usb or sd card " and I already installed the card and it's working with songs and images and every thing ........can anyone help please ......?
