I would suggest everyone to get SanDisk cards as the phone was developed using them. Also... this phone should support all 1GB cards... though depending on the brand it could also hold 2GB cards. But as not all brands are supported Alcatel advises 1GB so that all cards work. But you could try which card works best for you... try a 2GB SanDisk one... should work... if not... return it for a 1GB one ;)

Got this phone for christmas and its really really good:)such a cheap phone for something so good its al that i need ;)
yes it isnt made for hard 3D java games and stuff but you can still play enough games on it!
in a couple of words: This phone rocks! if you r searching for a cheap phone with mp3 and stuff THIS IS THE ONE!

Ouch! Sorry, i haven't read along the pages before i posted. Now i kn0w that 1gb is the maximum memory that it could hold, but the other question that i asked still lives. What's the best brand of micro sd to buy to complement this ph0ne?. Thanks.

Thanx Knight Rider!.. And btw, what's the maximum memory that it could hold and functi0n properly?. I mean, the max size in which the phone will function properly and will not go crazy.. And which brand of micro sd is the best brand to complement this phone?. Thanx!. Anyway, my sister is n0t a hard gamer. She is just after for the mp3 function..

WhiteCarnage, the phone performs perfectly fine if you use its embedded features... like the mp3 player which is really great working and as fast as it should be... the only area where this phone "lags" compared to the Nokia's is in the java performance, though it does support java games it can happen that new and technically "hardware heavy" games (like some high res and 3d games) will not run properly or not at all on it... but you have to know... this phone is not meant to compete with more expensive 2 megapixel, 3D java enabled phones. This is meant as a cheap well equiped mp3 player/phone which also has a VGA cam. And when look at it that way the phone is really good and you can't go wrong... but it you expect to use it for hardcore mobile gaming beware that some high resolution games will not work. Hi to all of the people of this site! My sister plans to buy a phone and we went for window shopping this day. We found this OT-C701 because of its cheap price and its g0od features, we are tempted... Just a question people, is the processor of this phone really that slow? C0z were already used with Nokias that have fast processor. I own a Nokia 3110c that have fast processor. The Nokia 3110c has a CPU type and speed of ARM 9, 238mhz but this Alcatel OT-C701 had unbelievably low CPU type and speed, the CPU is ARM 7, 65mhz. Check at www.jbenchmark.com... Pls guyz, i really need answers. Is this phone really that slow? Does this phone turn hang because of its CPU processors?. Im begging for answers.

ayman, you can download for free games and applications in www.getjar.com. And if you want, you also get in touch with me at nelson_maus@yahoo.com and just tell me what games and apps you want and I'll provide you.
jacob dela cruz, although you can charge this phone by using it's charger, you can opt to charge this phone by using usb cable. Just connect the other end on your phone and the other end on ythe usb port of your pc.
This can last longer than other nokia phones but of course it depends upon how well you take care of it.

That is not strange, because not every PC and or laptop has a bluetooth transceiver so adding a bluetooth option in the PC suite would not make sense as most people don't yet have it on their PC.

Noura the phone is of good quality. Its really nice.
Mohammed: It could be that your memory card is broken. Or its of a slow type and of an inferior brand.
About the bluetooth, all mono and stereo headsets work with the phone perfectly.

dear all
i have a little problem with my phone , the phones takes a long time opening my music folder on the memory card , i don't know why although my memory card is 256mb only and there is 12% free memory on it.
also i can create folders on the phone but i cannot move files into it , how can i do it ?(through the phone not the computer)

This phone have handsfree feature.
You can simply reject a call when it is closed by just ignoring it. Don't just pick it up. Don't attend to it.
