It's easy, you'll just have to get used to the software's quirks.

The slide mechanism is very sturdy. The keypad is weird but you'll get used to it.

For those who would like to have the phone in pink or red, I am sorry but it is not available in that colour, however there is the technically identical Alcatel Elle No.3 phone which is almost exactly the same as this one, but it is designed a bit more feminine and that is available in silver and pink/red colour scheme.

                Francis:
For the price you are paying, this is one of the best phones out there. The PC software is not perfect, and some of the useful features on older phones are missing here, but it's still a very good phone, and I am proud of using one for more than a month now.

I had googled QCIF up and it seems to me it's just a size format...

I must admit the software that comes with this phone sucks..I actually prefered the pre-TCL takeover software I had used with the older model. Understanding the functions can be painful, as with creating playlists :< . Anyway, maybe KnightRider can help you on your problem

I work for Alcatel-Lucent and had to hand in my beloved Nokia 6020 for this gadget (eat your own dogfood). Though I do recognise the fact that it must be appealing to the majority of you, I have specific business needs for this phone and I miss features my good old Nokia posessed. The biggest problem for me is synchonisation of my agenda with outlook. That feature is grayed-out in the software. It does however sync the contacts. I am puzzled here :-/ Anyone have any idea on how to hack this?
The other issue I have is more technical and I can not really blame the phone, but it still is annoying me. I had 2 simcards in my nokia (dual sim adapter). It gives weird results now and keeps my OT-c825 losing the active simcard. bummer

Try to use the Alcatel software to download the files from your phone into your PC..instead of going to MyComputer and take it directly from there. I had tried taking it directly from MyComp and the pc can't recognised the format too...

                                        1) of course it has no antivirus..this is no smartphone and no "standard" phone, be it from Nokia or Samsung etc, has antivirus software built-in. I am not sure about those third-party types though
                                        2) yes
