Using alcatel phone all the times. First is OT easy db and the second is OT 735. Saw the picture of the phone in 1 of the shop in shopping complex and i was shock...2.1 speaker and the model design is nice. Now waiting for it's release in my place. Going to try out and grab one if the price is affordable to me.

i have been using alcatel brand since 2002, my fist alcatel model was OTclub, then hv used OT_501, 311, 512, 535, 735 (1st camera phone). And now i am using ot_756. i love alcatel for its tremendous & unique call barring option, very helpful & effective for incoming callguard. now eagarly waiting to have s853 from Bangladesh market.

Yes, triband includes dualband... If you buy the phone without prepaid package it is "sim lock free"

I actually have a question, involving the provider I'm changing too. It says I need a phone that supports dualband and it has to be simlock free...
But since this phone is Triband, it also supports dualband, right?
And if I buy just the phone, it must be simlock free I guess......

I tried this phone in Alcatel's dealer in Saudi Arabia , to tell you the truth , this phone is AMAZING and the sound quality is Superb , I can't wait to get one , this phone really worth to wait for !!!

the dummy phone was recently handed to us, the feel is like a moto e398 with the plastic and rubber feel.. a sturdy looking phone indeed! This unit will be available in the Philippines late this January 2006, with its price range, it will definitely capture the fancy of the "substance-over-form" customers. so all you pinoys, wait for it in the avsurfer shores soon!

In Germany the Release Date will be 25.January!
That there will be no Synchronisation over Bluetoth is a little bit sad but i want to have it anyway.
Does anyone know where to read a test or Preview?

This unit going to launch at middle of January 2006 in Malaysian market.
Package come with 128MB mini-SD card, earphone, remote control.
Less than 1000 unit allocated for local market and only black available.
USB cable is optional accessories.
Synchroinization only can use infrared and USB cable but not blue tooth. Blue tooth only use for car kit accessories or ear piece.
Price still not determine yet but will be around RM1099 ~ RM1199 SRP price.

it's not expensive!about 290 (more or less) and it has an USB port. donÄt know if it plays wma but it plays aac!

yeah...i wrot an email to the webmaster of the site and he said the would be finished intwo or three weeks ! more or less the time when the Ot-s853 will be launched!

maybe i was just lucky enough to stumbled into the site when they are testing it. very stylish site, with sliders and stuff for you to pinpoint the model with the features you looking for. curiously, they still use "TCL & Alcatel" i thought that division had been absorbed. Anyway, the centrepiece currently is the OC(?)-C552

Drat! they put it up and then took it offline again! I can describe it for you guys : The site's primary colours are white and blue, with "T&A" as header. It's a very modern site, but a lot of features are still not in. there's no OT-S853 inside too. The address' still the same at my-onetouch.com ... maybe they still need time to really set it up
