Of course it captures video with unlimited time depending upon the capacity of your memory card. Please refer to ot-s853 user manual.

I know it plays video but does it capture video as well. I love my e398..xspecially that I have upgraded the software 10 times with all the monsterpacks from motomodders.net...I added video, itunes, skins!!! i dont think alcatels give the option of custom software options like moto's.

Sound quality could be the same as motorola e398 or much worse.

calibro, this phone plays video. And this should not be compared with motorolla's e398. E398 is not worthy to compete this one.

Great phone, e-mailed Alcatel today, s853 should be released by December 2005 in Australia.

Alcatel phones are crap. do they even bring them out!! they come up with models and they never even come out. Phone looks cool but i bet it's just as rubbishy as my old 735 or 565. It's ok, i have Sharp 903. KIKS this phones butt!! proberly at the same price aswel

mmm...i have a 557... the graphic interface is the same... maybe the memory is good ... the design is veery good... but anyway ....the software system of this phones are inestable... be carefully

I found the manual of this phone on the net:

It says that the phone is compatible with standard miniSD Cards up to 512 megabytes :'( The manual doesn't even mention PTT.
That's a pity.
