For sun cellular user make sure you send type ACTIVATE and send it to 2300. Then your GPRS will be activated after 24 hours. Automatically you will received a message from sun cellular that your phone is NOT PHONE MODEL supported for GPRS // Ignore that message and manually configure your GPRS. NOTE YOU REALLY HAVE TO MANUALLY CONFIGURE IT.
On the "SERVICES" Menu of your phone Click on "DATA ACCOUNT". THEN CHOOSE "GPRS" not GSM :
YOu need to make two account on the DATA ACCOUNT:
1. SUN GPRS
2. SUN MMS
GPRS
G
o to Menu=>Services=>Data Account=>GPRS
(ONE )
Select Sun GPRS
Account Name: “Sun GPRS”
APN: “wap”
Select SUN MMS
(TWO}
Account Name: “Sun MMS”
APN: “mms”
Exit and save settings
After making accounts on the Data account:
You need to Click Message > Settings > Multi Media Settings:
YOu need to configure your Multimedia Settings under the Message Folder.
Go to Menu=>Messages=>MMS=>Message Setting=>Server Profile
Select Sun MMS, Select Edit Profile
Rename Profile: “Sun MMS”
Homepage: “'http://www.mmscenter.suncellular.com.ph”
Data Account: “Sun MMS”
Connection Type: “HTTP”
Proxy Address: “202.138.159.078”
Proxy Port: “8080”
Select Activate Profile, Yes to activate profile
If your phone has WAP you can configure the WAP as well. Click on WAP folder and PROFILES
Go to Menu=>Services=>Wap=>Settings=>Edit Profile
Select “Sun WAP”, Select “Edit Profile”
Rename Profile: “Sun WAP”
Homepage: “http://www.suncellular.com.ph”
Data Account: “Sun GPRS”
Connection Type: Select “HTTP”
Proxy Address: “202.138.159.078”
Proxy Port: “8080”
Select Activate Profile, Yes to activate profile
Make sure you input the correct data. And after 24 hours try to send an MMS to another SUN User with active GPRS. IT only cost 1 peso and you can send email as well to like gmail or yahoo. and it only cost 1 peso . make sure file is below 300K.
You can receive email with pic as well (if the file is not that large) if example your number is 0923 800 8084. you can send an email from gmail and send it to 639238008084@mms.suncellular.com.ph
and you will receive it. :D you can send email from phone to like gmail or yahoo as well but cost 1 peso.

Its easy to configure the phone manually. I tried to configure it manually using my SUN and SMART Sim. And my mobile is activated for both network. if you have problem on how to set it up try to search on google GPRS setting for smart sun and globe .

For Alcatel Phones, the very compatible network for it in the Philippines is SMART. You will usually encounter an issue on the GPRS/MMS of the phone if you'll be under Globe or Sun...

my gprs is activated, i did notuse set oav770, i used other cp unit, then my gprs is activated but cant connect, it say "unknown host"

im having a problem using my bluetooth.. i dont know whats happening????? my frends were having problems transferring songs using bluetooth bec this phone just wont accept it.

bhavya, 08 Oct 2009hi help me plzzzzz.by mistake i activated pin codes for man... morewell you can go to ur fone company and they will send you to some other ¨company¨where they use a computer and that computer guess all the combinations there could be and unblok it. but.. that proces may take up to 3 hours. thats what happend to me:P

d0mzy, 04 Oct 2009im from philippines, i cant open my gprs, im using talk n t... moreYour phone should be preloaded with the necessary gprs settings and all you have to do now is text GPRS ON then send it 3405 and text MMS ON then send to 3405. You can also visit any branch of smart wireless center to have your gprs activated.

this phobe is great so far, i gave away my mp3 player coz i was able to store 137 songs in the free micro sd card..as for calling, its not clear enough but with earphones, sounds better, oh did i mention that it can be a webcam,,,this phone is so cute that my friend decided to buy one,,anyway my prob with this phone, cant find some themes and games compatible with it in zedge
