This phone has all my contacts stored with their names but only displays them as the number. There seems to be no way of deleting a missed call without answering it - and I refuse to answer unsolicited sales calls. Neither can I find how to delete texts or call history despite reading the instruction leaflet 5 times. I've been sold a load of complete rubbish and will now have to pay to get my old phone unlocked so I can use it on my new network. Absolutely disgusted!

Elderlygent, 29 Mar 2016Send it back, it's faulty, mine has no such problem, but it... moreThese phones have 4GB internal & up to 32GB internal memory and if you want yo use this phone for games , movies ,etc or even to use the inbuilt google apps ,you can't use this phone because it simply cannot handle doing anything faster than I can take a jog around the block once the inbuilt memory is full,which takes no time at all to fill.
The only way I've found to make this phone slightly useful is to download ROOTKING & Root the device and get rid of the useless inbuilt apps, which frees up some space, i think by the Rootking download you also get an app called PURIFY ,if not it is best to download that app too.
**So firstly follow the instuctions on Rootking,they are very basic and easy to follow to root the device , once you root the phone ,use the rootking app to delete any useless inbuilt app. If ur not sure what will happen if you delete a certain app ,you should only disable it first.
Once you have deleted the garbage,run Purify and you should notice an incredible change to the speed of the phone ect.
Best thing I ever did as I have the exact phone
Use the purify app everyday to clear the phones cache and junk files ,Purify also stops ANY AND ALL apps from running in the background and you can finally use the phone for the one thing at a time purpose you're needing it for without 20 or so other apps interfering with the only one app your wanting to use !
It's bizzare & totally crazy that everyone who purchases one of these has the exact same issues as each other like , slow to open apps , phone is slow altogether. apps do not respond ect:
No wonder I paid only $19 AU for this paperweight.
It's not really even worth $19 AU ,my SD card cost more than the phone !
As the old saying goes..."you pay for what you get" & this is somewhat true with this phone as I still beleive I paid too much for it as it has been a headache from day one.

Alcatel Pixi 3(4) originally cannot read external usb drive???? I want to plug in my usb / pendrive through the charger connector, but it won't read... Can it be changed? Or we cannot plug external usb drive on the phone at all? Thank you in advance to whoever can answer this... :(

Bought one from K-Mart (OPTUS network) for $24 AU - cost $1.49 to unlock online ($80 from OPTUS) purchased ALDI - Mobile (uses the Telstra network) and have an amazingly cheap spare phone. Works well for a basic phone
