Does anyone know a good app or another way to disable the camera shutter sound?
Switching it off in the camera settings doesn't change anything. I've tried several apps that should do the trick, but the only one working is some kind of spy app that shows no image while taking pictures (not very convenient).
I've tried rooting my phone as well, but the process can't be completed.

The phone get 6 out of 10 for me. I love the Android 4.2 OS, plus the multi-tasking capabilities, the speed of the phone is good, doesnt freeze up for anything so far, the battery life is superb and for a heavy user, mine last ALL day,with an 8GB Memory card it is working very well. Hate the fact that the camera's 5MP resolution is not as good as a BB's 5MP resolution along with the lack of flash and the music quality is way too low with the headphones that came with the phone, to achieve the highest quality sound I had to purchase Bluetooth Headphones. A few glitches with notifications. It doesn't light up when your notified even though there is an indicator that should be able to do so. But, overall it is a decent low budget phone that emulates that of a samsung galaxy mini, so you dont have to break the bank for reliable smart phone.

just bought it last week,so far so good,game runs smoothly,camera is just ok,and it doesnt lag too much..but just too hard to find the accessories in my place..

Hello,
I have quite some music on my alcatel but everytime I insert the usb and put new music amongst the old songs and I plug it (safely) out again, the playlists I made dissapear. Since I have over 600 songs in variable genres I hate to reïnstall all my playlists again. Is there anything that can help stop doing that? or an app or something? I tried the vlc-app but it didn't work properly on the phone. Little help please? Tired of sorting all my songs again...

i'v used it now for 2 months.. screen decent.. battery is ok more than 24 hours, moderate usage, 50% brightness..sms notification cant be change download other sms app..browing ok..camera poor
Now for games- memory is around 2GB but i was able to download asphalt 8 and real racing 3 straigth to sdcard-but laggy - i wish other phone manufacturers would do the same.. peace!
