System update is already available. Just updated my alcatel pop d5. Initial changes observed is the operation becomes smoother and the touch screen improves. Still observing other changes. But initially, i can feel some good improvements. New firmware version is 4.4.2 - 01001

at first, im confused if I will get this phone at plan 398 from smart. But believe me this is a nice phone considering that its free. yesterday 10-22-2014 my mother renewed her plan but alcatel pop d5 is now out of stock. Youre lucky if you will get this for free in your plan.

John-jo, 22 Oct 2014Phones specs are good, and actual use can confirm this. I g... moreTry to upgrade the boomband application. Mine has no problems. If it wont still work after upgrading, go back to sun cellular, its still under warranty. Ask for replacement. Hope it helps.

Phones specs are good, and actual use can confirm this. I got the set from Sun loyalty. I thougth the Boomband was cool, but started giving problems after a week. Its my 3rd week now, and the boomband can't pair up with the phone. Tried a few times to log out and in again, but doesn't work. It can make one so angry since you spent hard earned money for it.

I don't know why this phone have 6,5 average,phone rocks,camera is fine,design is awesome,its fast.Of course it won't work if you fill it with tones of application.Phone ROCKS.At least for first month :) And is cheap,for this price,awesome

It´s a good smartphone at the price, but i was the third time it goes down,the carrier (GSM PT Vodafone)fails and need a code to go up again.
The batery is good if i dont´t use wifi too long time.
The model is OT-5038D.
