Alleged Nokia Lumia 928 camera samples leak

19 March, 2013

The pieces of the Nokia Lumia 928 puzzle slowly but surely starting to fall in place. The first purported camera samples from the Verizon-bound brother of the Lumia 920 have popped up.

Sadly, they don't reveal as much as we'd like. Out of the three samples available for your viewing pleasure below, two appear to be taken with the front-facing camera, while the third is downsized, and lacks EXIF info.

On that particular photo, you can also see a bit of the silver aluminum-clad body that the Lumia 928 is rocking, replacing the polycarbonate body of the Lumia 920. On the second sample, you would also notice that Nokia is readying a black version of the phone, too. Additionally, you can catch a glimpse of the unorthodox flash placement, which adds credibility to previous to Xenon and LED-flash combo rumors.

As for the front-facing camera, it appears to be the same 1.3MP snapper found on the Lumia 920, and is capable of shooting stills of 720p resolution. The lens aperture is reported by the EXIF as f/2.4.

That's all we have for now, but previous rumors suggested the chipset, display, connectivity options and OS version of the Lumia 928 are said to remain identical to the Lumia 920.

A shame, really, since it has the potential to beat Android

Unfortunately, with the Windows Phone OS, Lumia phones will only manage to sell as well as Blackberry in 2013... meaning not very well.
