Allo/Duo product head leaves Google to join Facebook

Himanshu, 09 January 2018

Amit Fulay, who was Head of Product for Real Time Communications at Google, has left the company. Fulay announced the development on Twitter, revealing he has joined Facebook.

As part of his role at Google, Fulay lead several product teams, including Allo, Duo, and WebRTC. He has been quite active on Twitter, especially when it came to announcing new features and accepting feedback related to Allo/Duo apps.

There's currently no information on exactly what role he'll be playing at Facebook and who'll be replacing him at Google, but we expect to hear more on those fronts in near future.
