I have this phone for more than a month and I compared it with my previous Galaxy S3 and I have to admit that this X1 is better. Battery life is better, pictures are better, design is better (from my point of view) and there are other things which I really enjoy. THe only thing I don't like is that it came with Android 4.2 and they didn't make an update to 4.4. Maybe it's a marketing strategy so people will buy another Allview with 4.4. And you really get a lot from this phone for the money you pay.

It's an awesome phone, I really like it.
13mp camera, does some amazing pictures.
the battery keeps the phone up for a day at maximum usage like music, movies, games, internet, phone calls etc.
All applications work excellent, the CPU is amazing.
Another big plus for the touchscreen, works perfect.
I really recommend this phone.

I have this phone almost 1 month now.
The price was good considering the specs.
Tere are a few problems i have with it:
1. the internet speed via WiFi is wark. I have more speed on my data than on WiFi
2. the battery life is bad. it lasts like 6 hours with intensive use and 8-10 with moderate useage.
3. The camera is bad. Even taugh it has 13MP it is bad.
Other than tha it runs well.

Not so good as it says on paper, eg : a phone with qualcomm chipset and 1 ghz krait dual core processor, adreno 350 and 1 Gb of RAM and 480p display beats this phone when talking about gaming, I play dead trigger 2 at maximum graphichs on xperia M while this game laggs on this allview at the lowest !

I bought this phone like almost a month ago.
It is great.
Works great.
Looks the greatest.
Was cheap comparing it to other devices with these specs.
The only area where it did not met my expectations is the primary camera. It makes good photos but i expected it to make great photos.

Hi everyone! I've got this phone yesterday and it was working fine! However when I tried to call someone I couldn't hear anything. If I want to hear the one I called I have to switch to speakers or use headphones. Otherwise I won't hear the other person. But the called person can hear me. Does anyone knows what this problem is? Can I fix it by myself or I have to send it back for repairs? (sorry if my English is bad)

Hi! I got this phone yesterday and it is working fine. But If someone calls me I can't hear him/her only on speakers. Also it works fine with headphones but with the regular speaker it stays silent. But this is a good phone apart from this. Oh and if anyone could help me with this problem I would appreciate that.
P.S.: sorry for my bad English

I have this phone and is a horrible disappointment.
Proximity sensor came broken.
Took it back and after 14 days it came back "fixed"
Air gestures - dream on ....
Now, the flash light is not working
Allview Customer Support is honorific.
I had a htc sensations before and received the Allview Soul for free on my business... but it does not worth the trouble
Stay away, buy a second hand proper phone like a galaxy s2 / 3.

A small review about my experience with this rebranded Gionee Elife E6 phone.
Good things to say about it:
1. Screen – excellent resolution, bright colours, good viewing angles;
2. Performance – smooth, stabile, and fast. I don’t do games, so, I wouldn’t know the games that work with it or not, but, FullHD movies run smooth, lag-free and effortless.
3. Looks – beautiful and upmarket;
4. Nice headphone sound;
5. Battery – good but not exceptional; if you behave, you can manage two days of usage with 1h/day of speaking and 1h/day of intense browsing and other apps running along with wi-fi and GP
6. Phone signal is good even in large concrete building (haven’t tried it in the subway, but I guess it doesn’t work fine, unless you live in South Korea :P)
7. The quality of the conversation is good. Even more, the noise cancelation is working very decent;
Neutral things about it:
1. The screen, although excellent in terms of resolution and colours, has its limitations when confronted with bright sunlight;
2. The main camera could be a bit better and richer in software ; the low-light capabilities aren’t exactly excellent but rather decent;
3. Although it has DTS, the phone has only one speaker that tries to cope with the loudness and quality you would expect from it and it is fairly good but I strongly believe that a phone that aspires for premium status should have two high quality speakers; the design could trick you because optically speaking it seems to have two speakers; in fact, the left-“speaker”-holes are there just for the sake of shape and symmetry, which I find awkward and silly;
4. I’m not sure about the customer service of the company outside China or even if they have one;
5. The unibody design is a matter of taste; I like it, some don’t; for start, you can’t change the battery yourself and I’m not sure! if you can do that at all, even with the help of a professional;
6. Yes it’s a quad-core and yes it has 2 GB of RAM, but, just for the sake of being fair, Antutu benchmark registered 13.500 points when I tested the phone...if you have no social live and all you ever care is benchmark points and bragging about your phone specs which I find childishly idiotic;
7. Personaly, I don't like the twecking of the software done by the guys at Allview; it would be better off left as the standard Android version;
Negative things about it:
1. It has no MicroSD slot, though it possesses 32 GB (aprox. 25 usable);
2. The Radio receiver isn’t very effective and it losses a lot of signal, even at open ground level; furthermore, the radio menu is crap and you can’t change the radio stations via headphones (the headphones have a button which, by pressing it when listening to radio, usually changes the station; or at least Nokia an Sony headphones do that);
3. Allview customer service is horrible;
4. Buying this phone, means almost certain that you'll never see an update of the software done by Allview;
All things said, I still think this is a phone to buy and enjoy if you want a very capable phone and you can see beyond the brand and benchmark hysteria and don’t want to brake the bank either.

I own the X1 Soul, or, to be specific and politically correct, the Gionee Elife E6, and it worked flawless for the past 3 months. It's a great and realiable phone (thus far) and for the purchase price, it's really tough to beat.

It's incredible! Dear "brasoveanu" and many others, have you ever wondered how a small company like Allview can produce all what they sell on her website (smartphone, TV, GPS, tablet, DVD) as theier logo? Moreover the interface, the operating system can be customized on request even by chinese manufacturer, if you make a serious command!
Forgot or do not know, HTC before they become a big company, sells its products under various logos like SPV, Qtek, Dopod, i-Mate, XDA,...

Just bought an All view X1 a few days ago, mainly because I was needed a GPS that can run offline (satelites only) . It was bought in a big hurry, since I couldn't find a decent map for my embedded navigation of the car I just bought. Yes, is kind of weird that TomTom for the embedded Blaupunkt nav. system (Ford Focus 2010) still does not have maps for all EU.
But, after all, it was a good thing, because it made me bought this phone. With each day, I like it more and more.
With the GPS on and a few phone calls over Bluetooth, the battery last about 8 hours. The display is very good, crystal clear and with very vibrant colors. In games (I tried a few, but end up playing mostly Plants vs. Zombies :), browsing and YouTube HD, is very fluid. Sound is very good on both multimedia and phone calls. Camera is also surprisingly good for a phone, it almost matches my Nikon D90.
So far, it worked flawless, without any hang or restart.
It looks to me like a very good device, well built and with astounding performance for it's price. I am very glad I bought it.

Parts:
China
Assembly/Testing&warranty/UI development:
Brasov,Romania
They buy the components from China and assemble the phones in Romania. That is not very unusual by the way. Producers of any electronic device are guilty of this.
Also it is not a bad thing. You could buy the best running shoes from Adidas, the most comfortable pants from Nike, the most rugged watch from G-Shock in order to assemble the best running gear. Same thing here with the phone. They mix and match components to attain a certain price and quality level.
Also it is not necessarily going straight for the Samsung S or iPhone exactly because people don't recognize it as a good phone due to the brand and will generally prefer going for the brand even if they made the Allview phone distinctly better than the competition.

I have the Allview x1soul/Gionee Elife e6 for 6 weeks now.. I was a litle sceptic at the begining i admit to say but after all this time i discovered that its an excellent phone. Bought it from Romania as new and gave up at my Samsung S2 for this one.
It moves really well in apps and games .. Camera takes nice pics especially in day light .. Display revealls better colours and viewing angles than my ex S2 I9100 ..and the new improved battery lasts an list 24 h of a busy day work with wifi on all tine, games and some pics taken .
I even dropped it accidentally and bend it on a corner but the plastic i quite strong and protects well the display ..... The fall was in the house from 1,5m hight on a marble floor.
Excelent phone !!
