Amazfit celebrates World Ocean Day with T-Rex 2 Ocean Blue (Special Edition)
Amazfit launched the T-Rex 2 rugged smartwatch last year in four colors - Ember Black, Astro Black & Gold, Wild Green, and Desert Khaki. These are joined by a blue-colored model called Amazfit T-Rex 2 Ocean Blue (Special Edition).
Amazfit has launched the T-Rex 2 Ocean Blue (Special Edition) to celebrate and honor World Ocean Day. The brand also wants to deepen its sustainability drive with this special edition T-Rex 2 as it will donate $10 for every T-Rex 2 Ocean Blue (Special Edition) purchased to Coral Guardian to support its coral restoration project in the Hatamin Marine Protected Area in Indonesia. Customers will receive a certificate thanking them for contributing to the project and photographs of the restored coral after it springs back to life.
Amazfit says the T-Rex 2 Ocean Blue (Special Edition) is "inspired by the beauty of the natural world and the spirit of the ancient explorers who braved the seven seas," with its design reflecting the strength of the ocean.
The Amazfit T-Rex 2 Ocean Blue (Special Edition) features a repurposed silicone strap, which looks cool. And since the special edition is created with an emphasis on sustainability, it comes in 100% environment-friendly materials, including biodegradable plastic that's only 6% of the entire packaging, biodegradable non-mineral ink, and biodegradable electroplated aluminum that's used in the hot stamping process.
The packaging of the Amazfit T-Rex 2 Ocean Blue (Special Edition) also looks different from the regular models since it comes in blue.
That said, the difference between the Amazfit T-Rex 2 Ocean Blue (Special Edition) and the standard versions is only cosmetic since the former shares all the specs and features with the regular models. You can read our T-Rex 2 launch coverage here to know more about it.
The cosmetic difference comes with a higher price, though, since the Amazfit T-Rex 2 Ocean Blue (Special Edition) is priced at $229.99 (INR18,960) in the US and €229.90 (INR20,430) in Europe, while the regular version is currently sold for $189.99 (INR15,660).
The special edition T-Rex 2 is up for pre-orders in the US and Europe through Amazfit's official website, with deliveries beginning on June 15.

All parts is biodegradable. It is good but from human natural liquids this Rex watch will quickly biodegrade and user must buy new watch or accessories.

I'm a happy owner of 2 Amazfit products - 1st gen of the GTS smartwatch and recently I bought second-hand T-Rex Pro smartwatch. I think Amazfit is doing amazing job when it comes to price/performance ratio. But I'm against these higher-pric...
