My Amazon Fire Phone's camera is not working some days ago camera was deleted.. so i downloaded another camera from PlayStore..

excellent midrange phone.i've use many other phone os systems,iphone,blackberry,windows,android,symbian,windows mobile and proprietary os and the fire os is just as good as any other,but i am flexible,so i adjust to suit.all the features on this phone work very good for me.after using fire os for some weeks i installed google play store and i downloaded some other apps i use,amazon app store has many apps which i also downloaded.calling,3g(no lte in my area),wifi,web browsing,gestures,very good main and secondary cameras,excellent screen clarity and viewing angles,not much of a gamer but the few i use gave no problems.at the now reduced price this is a great deal.i also got 3 ota updates to fire os 4.6.6.amazon should keep the lower price and continue production.satisfied user.

After using this phone since december 2014, i can say my experience has not been very good.
*Camera is very good on bright light it shots some very good pictures, also in night time the quality is good, it has nice video as well, and an average front camera.
*Battery wise i hate it, i hate it with passion right now a full charge lasts about 2 and 2 and a half hours of screen time. sometimes after 1 hour and a half of screen time you hit the 30% left, thing is for a long trip you are pretty much f....
*Performance is kind of good, sometimes laggy, so far any game i have tried runs w/o problem, yet again the battery life makes it hard to enjoy a long gaming season.
Software is where the nightmare begins i was able to install the google playstore and have acces to all of the apps, but there is many software problems of apps that suddenly close, they get slow, or the virtual keyboard just does not show, sometimes you start typing just to find that the phone is actually not typing anything, and you have to close the app and re open it, things like this are common and happen lot of times, i think one of the main problems is that the phone is not getting any more support from amazon, if i remeber right the last update was on mid 2015, sometimes i download things, images, stuff just to not being able to find them anywhere i look, also some google apps have conflict with the base ones, for example google chrome and silk browser, sometimes you open links and they open on the opposite browser and things like that its annoying. And the phone restarts or when you lock it, it does not want to turn on, after you push the button like 5 times just to fin that the phone went off just like that.
And to finish the phone has been on a cover and screen protector since the day u got it, it actually looks like new not a single scratch anywhere around it, but the battery charging port is failing its very hard to charge it i have to push the cable on a special position against the wall and put something heavy so the phone dont move or it stops charging, and since i got it her ein mexico, its hard to find pieces for it, so im getting another one.

hey guys please help me out.. i just bought this phone from ebay unlocked...(it even came with the code too)...so i powered off the phone ..put in the sim and switched it on....it didn't ask anything about unlocking and i can also see at the notification bar that the sim was working... i can make calls...and then i tried to open apps store and it said that the Country setting is not supported.... btw I live in India....I can't download any apps...what do i do..

IN ORDER TO Get the Google Play Store apps, you must download (for free) the 1Mobile App Store from the internet in Silk Browser. It has all of the Play Store apps, and best of all, they're all free! I have it on my Kindle and Fire Phone - I've used it for at least a year and there were (and still are) no problems!

at first its difficult to work with fire os but its a unique os and i really like dynamic perpective. hope amazon support it another year too

IT works with 4g lte sim ,, Get new nano sim from the franchise it will work with ...dont work with the sim cutted by a cutter ,, original nano sim from the franchise
